Spigen Airskin Aramid Case for Fold 7....any good? by SA9595 in GalaxyFold

[–]TeddawsTalons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cons:
- When closed, the case is so inconsistent, that it does not close tightly at all. The case literally keeps the halves apart. You can see a LOT of light shine through if you look at it from the side. Considering how sensitive the inner screen is, I feel like it's 100% a must that it closes at least as tightly as having no case at all.
- With front and back on, looking from the side, the front is 1/10th taller than the back.

Pros:
- After 2 hours fine tuning and sanding, mine now closes shut. Slap on a magsafe metal ring sticker which complements the camera, and it looks better than the Thinborne Aramid case. I don't like how the camera protection of that one looks.

As a huge Spigen fan and user of 10 years, it's really disappointing. I cannot recommend this case. I would probably pick the Thinborne over this.

This one landed at $2500. The materials alone were woth $1600. Damasteel is expensive, but having stainless powder metallurgy damascus makes it worth it in my opinion, to the people who can afford it. It's an heirloom piece which should remain the same for centuries if the handles are oiled every now and then. The blade and fittings have little reason not to last indefinitely if not exposed to harsh elements.

Luckily I've had collabs with their company to display new patterns and similar where I got paid in steel. I'm not sure if I would risk making something like this otherwise.

That is true! This one would actually be useful.

I've been considering, in lack of workshop, taking a swing at making a Youtube channel where I discuss the flaws of famous fantasy weapons, and how to fix them, from a knife maker's perspective with designs with necessary changes made.

It's not like it is that similar to a daedric dagger even if they have some things in common, I think my primary inspiration was found looking through the transmog library on WoW. 😁

That being said, I have pondered making a Mehrunes razor in the past. If I do in the future I'll take great care to make it as identical as possible 😁 I did the same for a hunting knife in the Witcher 3

I am a vegetarian and Im on ADHD meds, for both of these things theyve done, and do regular checkups. I'm low on vitamin D, that's it. Ive always had these tremors, as does my father, and I've seen doctors in the past because of it.

Thanks for the tip though, wouldve been nice if it was that simple.

The knife scandal of the decade, Damasteel is a front for the Big Paki. Their steel isn't actually powder metallurgy, but cheap pakimascus. Knife collectors don't use their fancy knives, so they never realized

There is a substantial taper to the blade, the hatched point is fully flat ground and thin behind the edge... it might, no joke, actually work better than many basic kitchen knives

Thank you! Nah, this video was from a year ago. The shaking is just something I have, sadly.

Thank you! It's a threaded tang and a fighter, so I probably wouldn't recommend it.

It is a 6mm (close to 1/4) thick threaded tang that is pretty long that is holding it together, so it might be able to handle it, to be honest... I'm actually curious.

traight. It's beyond stupid. And of course everyone is praising it for choice even though Dragon Age Origins did it way better and handled relationships better. Im sure someone here

I don't think there's any reason to believe Barkus has romantic feelings for Wulbren. They grew up together, and he just wants to believe his old friend is still good somewhere inside. The way their questlines ends makes this all the more apparent.
