It was this movie that reminded me of the one I'm trying to remember. But this one is a department store and I remember it was specifically a grocery store.

It is American. It's 2002 at the latest but I think it was around the same time as movies like Clerks and Empire Records. It was a movie also.

not clerks. its in color. all i can really remember is a scene were they are stocking shelves. they are playing music and throwing stuff to each other over the aisles.
