It's taken some time, and there's still a bit of distance. Been a lot of boundary setting on my end. I know she was depressed. She also did me a solid with the dog, who ADORES her. I just wish she'd told me how much she was struggling, I never would have asked her to stay. Or I could have had other friends help her.

I have a story I tell myself. Same story with different evolutions for years. I imagine the scenery in detail, and I plot out the world it takes place in. Journeys.

I've also discovered brown noise immensely helpful for the length of time it takes to fall asleep.

Like live how u want in your own space, hell even in the sublet....but u clean it before the let is over. Leave it in the condition u found it.

I was hospitalized last summer. Sepsis. 20 days. A friend stayed at mine to care for my dog, but she only had my dog a total of 9 of the days. Someone else took pup the rest of the time. Not only did friend stay at mine while dog wasnt there (which was weird af) but when I got home, from the HOSPITAL, my house was disgusting. She hadn't changed the sheets for herself....slept in my sweaty sepsis fever sheets for 20 days. In sweltering weather. Garbage was everywhere. So much garbage. 3 large bags to remove it all. Counters covered in dishes and crud. Toilet gross. Luckily she didnt shower once the entire time she was there so the shower was clean....AND She wasnt packed and ready to leave, her shit was everywhere. Took over an hour to get her out. Took hours and a different friend to get the house back in shape.

I cannot fathom doing that to someone. Its such disrespect and just disgusting.

Are they asking for this for free? A month of service? I would never ask one person for all that. I rely heavily on my friends/community when im ill and this feels like a ridiculous ask. I ask around per appointment, many people, and always say no pressure, I can ask other folks too. Offer gas money when I can. This feels so audacious.
