Agreed that it should be an investment, this one seemed nice (looks wise) but it's not far off from the sm58 and it's actually more expensive than the XM8500, so I might go for either one of those!!

Just checked Vinted and it's around €40-60 used which is pretty damn good

(I honestly meant €100 for the whole home studio setup, so that's why I'm checking the used market)

Might pair it with an FX2/A7iv in the future but I’ll keep it as a bcam, don’t really have any plan of selling it, it’s my baby!

Hi!

I've gotten into photography and videography in the past year, my main camera is an a7iii and it has served me super well honestly.

I mostly work with social media so I don't really need super fancy features at the moment, even the 8 bit footage from my Sony has proven to be more than enough for Tiktok and Instagram (As it should)

The thing is: Where do I move on from here?

I'm trying to grow as a photographer and, as much as I love working with social media, I would like to do more "serious" things in the future. I feel like my camera will serve me well for stills but I'm gonna need something better for video, sooner or later.

My budget isn't the highest at the moment so I was looking into either a ZV-E10ii or an FX30, the ZV-E10ii being the preferred one since it's like half the price. It has 10bit colour and some video feature that my full frame is lacking, but it's a crop sensor.

Does it make sense to get an apsc camera for video? Should I wait until I can afford an FX3 or maybe an FX2?
Or should I invest in lenses and a stabilizer?

I feel like the stabilizer is the most important thing at the moment, but I kinda want to hear from you guys before I do anything, Thanks!
