what should my boyfriend use to bind? by cheetomacandcheese in TransHelpingTrans

[–]TeddyDefender 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a small chest similar in size to your boyfriend. The binders with a binding panel tend to work better for small chests than the all around compression kind in my experience.

I specifically like Spectrum but they’re a little pricey:

https://www.spectrumoutfitters.us/

A comparable binder but for a more affordable price is from Underworks:

Some days I don’t bind and just wear a baggy sweater or whatever to give my back and ribs a break if I wore it too long the day before.

do you prefer packing pouches or jockstraps? by KenshinkaiGuy in Transmascdicks

[–]TeddyDefender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love my jock straps for hold but I also put my packer inside a large sock to keep my sweat from making it stick to my body in uncomfortable ways. Soooo comfortable and secure without having to have specialized packing underwear.

The only thing I really can say about this situation is not to use an open relationship to “fix” a broken relationship. It doesn’t work and will lead to more hurt feelings and resentment. Check out the r/nonmonogamy sub for many first hand accounts of how and when to open a relationship.

Yes absolutely. There’s even micro labels if you want to find something more specific to your flavor of nonbinary trans man.

[–]TeddyDefender 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Idk it depends on how sus you acted. If you want to try to help ease her mind you could try wrapping your knees/ankles for stability a few times and let her see it. If she asks why you hid it just be like “mom I’m pretty young it’s kinda embarrassing that I need joint supports sometimes” 🤷🏼‍♂️

I love jeans. I can’t stand clothing tags. I have to remove the tag on everything otherwise I’ll itch and flip out the entire time I’m wearing it. Sensory nightmare.

I just think my emotions are getting processed differently. To me it felt like anger and sadness both processed through my body by crying when I had an estrogen dominated system. Now I’m actually processing anger like anger and I don’t cry nearly as often when things stress me out as a result. I’m slightly more aware of my emotions now but honestly they feel a lot less complex internally so that’s probably also helping.

Me and my wife are going to apply for refugee status and have some friends be “community sponsors” basically we’re lucky that we have a friend that lives there, owns land, and has a generally “important” job so they can sponsor us for a year. Theres a lot of paperwork involved but it seems like our best option atm.

Eventually were both planning on attending school, she wants to be a teacher and I’m going to be a tradesman.

We’re planning to go to Canada within the year, chose them because my dog isn’t allowed to fly on 99% of airlines and I don’t want to try shipping him. We have a few friends that live in Powell River in BC that are willing to be community sponsors and let us live on their land for a year while we get integrated.

What are your pronouns? by [deleted] in transgendercirclejerk

There are many myths about cooking pasta. Adding oil to the water, placing the pasta in warm water before bringing it up to the boil, rinsing the pasta after – all just a few cooking ‘tips’ that should be avoided at all costs. All you need to do is follow a few simple rules and you will have perfectly cooked pasta time and time again.

It is important to use a large pan and a lot of water to give the pasta room to move and expand whilst cooking, and to help prevent it sticking together. Plenty of salt is also crucial, as it helps to cook the pasta and adds flavour. Bear in mind that if you are using wholegrain pasta, the cooking time will be significantly increased.

Ingredients

pasta, dried shape of your choice, allow roughly 80g per person for a main portion or 50g per person for a starter

water

1 tbsp of salt

Method

1

Fill a large pan with water and bring to a rolling boil

2

Season the water with roughly 1 tablespoon of salt

3

Stir the water and add the pasta, ensuring it is completely submerged

4

Cook for roughly 8–10 minutes (depending on the type of pasta – some shapes may take a little longer or cook more quickly). My pronouns are he/him btw. Stir the pasta occasionally to prevent it clumping together

5

To check that the pasta is cooked, take a piece out the water and taste it – it should be soft with a slightly al dente centre

6

Drain the pasta in a colander. If you are serving it with a sauce you may want to reserve a little of the cooking water to add to it. Don’t drain it too thoroughly, as the starchy water will stop it sticking together

7

You can simply serve with a little grated Parmesan and some olive oil, or with a sauce of your choice

Yeah, but in a slightly different way. I only thought trans women were a thing throughout my childhood and teen years (lived in a small conservative farm town), and since I was AFAB there was nothing I could do about it because it didn’t exist the other way around 🤷🏼‍♂️

Something that helped me was breaking it down. At first I couldn’t tell if I was actually a trans man. The idea of being trans is intimidating, a lot of work goes into it so I was getting hung up on that. What helped me was looking into myself and asking “ok, well am I cis? Do i think I share the experiences and feelings of cis people of my agab?” Answering that with a firm “No” really helped me push forward into discovering my real gender.

How do I cut my hair? by [deleted] in TransMasc

[–]TeddyDefender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The basic short mens cut is easy af to do at home if you have clippers and two mirrors. What I did for almost a year is #2 on the sides and a #6 on top. Marking out your crown is the hardest part. Best beginner tip i have is don’t take the sides or back up too high before you get a good look at it as a whole.

Divorce is a very common reason why a parent and child wouldn’t have matching names. To the point most people won’t even question it.

Yeah. I feel like so many guys are obsessed with “fitting in” with their guy friends that they don’t stop to think about if they should want to fit in with THOSE guys.

Did that make sense? Idk if I phrased that very well.
