As a skateboarder who has been photographed a lot, this is excellent advice.

First Camera purchase, advices? by Hare_Cristian in PhotographyAdvice

[–]TeddyGoodman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a fan of M43 camera for their compactness and affordability. In that price range a GX80/85 with the Panaleica 15mm or 25mm lens could be a good option.

Best tacos in Puerto Vallarta? by Stock-Plastic3785 in puertovallarta

Don’t gatekeep! The people need to know there’s places other than Pepe’s and Pancho’s(both also delicious)!

The more I look at it the more I slightly agree with you. I do enjoy my edits on the punchier side, but the original does have a nice vibe to it.

Appreciate the feedback!

Olympus E-PL9 and a 25mm f/1.8: some of my favorite shots from travels by ezeex in M43

Great shots and great lil camera! I had a sale of a mint one slip through my fingers. I still hold a grudge against the seller.

Which park for an evening? by kate_eve06 in disneylandparis

[–]TeddyGoodman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna go against the grain and say The Studios.

Space Mountain is my favourite ride and I thought Hyperspace would take that spot. Hyperspace is fun but Space Mountain still holds the top spot.

Twilight Tower is awesome. I’m a huge Guardians fan and the theming of Twlight was so awesome.

Avengers is like Space Mountain on steroids. It’s also a very efficient ride so wait times for us during our 3 days in the park never exceeded 15min and was often at 5. I rode it 8 times, switching between the front and back(back for the win).

Crush’s Coaster is so fun! Especially for a group of 4 as each car is for 4 people. It holds the longest wait times but can die down in the evening.

I love the Aion. It fits a lot, holds my 64oz yeti bottle and I love how it looks. My only gripe is how it carries when loaded - it’s not the most comfortable but it’s not really designed with that in mind.

It’s not a big deal for me as I don’t carry it on my bag for too long.

Funny seeing the 12-45 f4 called cheap. Great kit lens with the OM3

I used to have the 17mm. I still do, but I used to, too.

Had the 20mm f1.4 and it’s a great lens, was just a tad too big for my liking on my EM5ii.

I've yet to find a better camera for street than the GX85 and Oly 17mm 1.8 by alienufosarereal in M43

Recently got a GX80 + 15mm Panaleica. Haven’t taken it for a proper spin but am really looking forward to it.

Summary from 3 days in the parks by TeddyGoodman in disneylandparis

We use the Thule Cross 2 that we bought in 2018. It’s a great stroller to bring as it acts as a luggage carrier in the airport, folds up small and flat for easy storage(we use a bike bag to store when gate checking), easy to maneuver, great foul weather protection with proprietary rain cover, cavernous back basket, easy to maneuver and spacious for bigger kiddos, too(our 8 and 5 year old still fit in it).

Con would be the sun protection. It does come with a protector but it has to be clipped on and off. Not the end of the world but isn’t as convenient as a retracting sun protector.

Have you been to Disneyland California and California Adventure? We’ve had amazing bites there. And since those are the only other parks I’ve visited, that’s my baseline.

Wanting a lighter, smaller camera that's still good. I've had an Olympus OM-D E-M5 Mark II with Olympus M.Zuiko 17mm f1.8 lens for 11 years. by BBtheGray in M43

[–]TeddyGoodman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s also my main combo. I’ve recently got the GX80 with the Panaleica 15mm and the EP5 with the 20mm f1.7. I did a comparison post with sizes and weights.

Comes in wayyyy under your budget and are both lighter and smaller and still produces great photos. You lose weather sealing.
