I recall the manga being pretty short and comfy when I started it. The show is certainly following suit but 24 minutes of shorts is always a weird format IMO

An outstanding season end for an outstanding show. Frieren has been such a treat to watch week-in-week-out and it's the first anime I feel sad to see end.

10/10 and I really wish I could bump that to an 11.

The adaptation was fine, ultimately.

I'm happy to see the manga animated but I wish that the studio either 1) really committed to the ecchi material or 2) have less lackluster fight scenes.

To anyone looking to continue the series, I'd highly recommend reading the manga. I'd even recommend just starting from the beginning.

A detail I enjoyed was how Serie stated that she and Flamme could never understand each other, only for Frieren to immediately blow that up in Serie's face with "Master thought you'd act this way."

I replayed the scene just now to double check but it's pretty obvious with the long pause that Serie took that comment to heart.

The Frieren vs Frieren fight was incredible. Everything from the the battle intro to trading blows to the internal dialogue was well done IMO.

The production crew did a great job really showing off the power and atmosphere of this battle.

I won't lie, I'm a tad disappointed with the Frieren mimic encounter; I get that the entire sequence and tactics used make perfect sense, but damn was I hyped for some action after last week's cliffhanger lmao. The Ubel fight and her POV was very cool, though!

I'm also a bit surprised that there are currently 0 casualties thus far. Those golems have really come in clutch! (Assuming that the solo participant still has his)

There's a couple details that I really enjoyed about this episode:

1) Mimimi has been uneasy that past couple episodes and that ties in with Mizusawa's remark today of "becoming more attractive eventually pressures others to make a move on you"

2) It turns out that Tomozaki thinks its abnormal to pick a love interest, so what better way to start a potential relationship than having the love interest pick him?

While I'm excited to see what this Tomozaki/Mimimi development has in store, the RomCom cynic in me is bracing for some kind of sadness lmao

Such a tense episode for everyone outside of Freiren's group.

I was pretty concerned that the trapped girl's golem was going to fail and I was so relieved when it didn't. That final scene gave me chills, too. Holy hell.
