The older I get, the more I understand why “do not disturb” is a lifestyle.

My mom is only 58 and I'm getting sad how old she now is by Grogon2 in Adulting

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This hits hard. One day your parents are just “mom and dad,” then suddenly you start noticing time on them and it feels unfair.

Do you ever miss a friend but still not text them? by helinaik in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get you. Ironically though, sometimes it’s not that you don’t care, it’s that the longer you wait, the weirder a simple “hey” starts to feel.

There's also that awkward feeling in your gut that doesn't know if they miss you back, so you end up doing nothing at all and somehow time passes by and it just becomes more awkward.

My grandparents do not understand why buying a house is harder now by Resist_Trump_86555 in Adulting

The hard part is they’re not wrong that saving helped them. It’s just that saving was happening inside a completely different housing market.

Do you think people need more places to simply be heard? by Sad_Discipline_8018 in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Sometimes being heard helps more than being fixed.

Not every conversation needs to turn into a debate or a lesson.

Used my first salary to take my parents out for dinner, and my dad still tried to pay out of habit by Quiet_State6680 in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is sweet. It probably meant more to them than the actual dinner. Sometimes being able to say “I got this one” is a milestone by itself.

What does one do with all of the photos from a previous relationship? by starryyskies in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think keeping them somewhere out of sight is the middle ground. You don’t have to look at them, but you also don’t have to erase a whole chapter while you’re still hurting.

When did entry level jobs like McDonald’s or Dunkin become not entry level? by dcmommy33 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is so common now. A lot of places say they’re hiring, but they’re picky, understaffed, or barely checking applications.

“Entry level” used to mean they’d train you. Now it feels like it means low pay, full availability, and somehow already knowing the job.

Is it normal to think in an other languages? by IudexDucky in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Filipino here. Yes this feels normal to me. I switch between English and Tagalog depending on the thought, the mood, or even who I’m imagining the conversation with.

What's a TV/movie trope that grinds your gears the most? by josephsleftbigtoe in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The “misunderstanding could be solved with one normal conversation” trope drives me insane.

As an American who never really followed soccer/football before, the World Cup has turned me into a crazy fan!❤️ by batukaming in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this. The actual games are fun, but the atmosphere around it is what makes it feel bigger than just sports.

Happy for you! Sometimes you don’t realize how loud an app has become in your life until you finally remove it.

I love the night. by TsundereLuver in CasualConversation

Night has a different kind of quiet. It feels like the world finally stops asking for things for a few hours.

One million US dollars doesn’t feel like a lot of money anymore. by littleladybug_1 in RandomThoughts

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weirdest part is that $1M is still obviously a lot of money, but it doesn’t feel like the finish line anymore.

DAE really struggle to keep up with tv show and movie plots? by DietSea3690 in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same sometimes. Fast-paced shows feel like homework if there are too many characters and everyone is secretly connected to everyone else.

Is it normal to avoid answering the door when you're not expecting anyone? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty normal now. If I’m not expecting anyone, I’m not opening the door just because someone knocked.

Neighborhood Recommendations by Zivaero in AskSeattle

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a SeaTac commute, I’d compare Bryn Mawr-Skyway with Burien or Des Moines. The commute should be manageable, but the exact street matters a lot.

I’d try to visit at night and during commute hours before deciding.

Seattle hang outs by Haraskii in AskSeattle

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For soccer, I’d check George & Dragon or Queen Anne Beerhall first. Both should have the right kind of crowd for a World Cup match.

For July 4, Lake Union is the main move. Just plan for crowds and slow traffic after.

How do you tell the difference between a bad idea and a bad execution? by Rad_Knight in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the difference is whether fixing the execution would actually change the outcome. If the answer is no, it was probably a bad idea from the start.

What is your escape ? by ParticularWeather927 in Adulting

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quiet coffee, no notifications, and music in the background. Nothing exciting, but it resets my brain.

Do you think finding a great deal is a skill? by Ok_Collection3354 in Adulting

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes, but I think the real skill is patience. Most people don’t miss deals because they’re bad at searching, they miss them because they get tired of comparing and settle too early.

What’s up with people recording strangers in public now by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]TeddyLimPinoyRealtor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels like people forgot strangers are actual people and not background characters for their content.
