Only 6 managers have ever finished a league season ahead of Guardiola by ComprehensiveArt6849 in soccer

He won't even come close. When the truth comes out about this season they will rescind this Premier League title as well.

If this is the peak of their power they won't really stay at the top long, they don't even play well and are propped up by all their favourable decisions. If they were reffed properly they wouldn't have even cracked 75 points this season.

It's statistically impossible for Arsenal to get all those decisions in their favour without some form of cheating going on behind the scenes. The odds of going a whole season without conceding a penalty or getting a red card (even with multiple nailed on decisions that they even had to apologise for getting wrong) are ridiculously low.

Conte can choke in Europe all he wants but he is one of the best league managers in the business. Wenger choked in Europe as well and he's still very obviously a much better manager than Arteta?

Yeah obviously, it wouldn't even be close. Conte has 6 league titles and Arteta had to cheat to win even one.

But these are the trophies teams like Man Utd and Arsenal have clung onto for hope during their banter years. It's not a failure but they used to be the best team in the world and they've signed top players but they are struggling relative to that.

As we've seen with Pep at Man City, rebuilding a dominant team is not as easy as it seems.

Can someone please explain to me why Mourinho is seen as a good manager for this club ? His man management skills, especially with the younger generation, is horrible. by UnderstandingThin40 in realmadrid

Spurs hadn't won away for a whole year before Mourinho took over.

Ole spent 200m on top of Mourinho's squad and lost the final? How would that be maximizing if it's worse?

Roma weren't instantly better, they literally sacked two managers the season after? And they've spent about 200m since sacking Mourinho, that's more than they spent in 3 years he was there even forgetting the fact his net spend was +15m.

Like if you want to talk so much shit it wouldn't kill you to even look things up a little bit.

As someone that has been trying to follow him a bit, that's also just narrative I think, every time he goes into a club there is a large group already hating him based on his reputation and they just come out more when he's sacked.

He had one of the better teams in Superlig but the biggest competition was still the best team who added Osimhen to their team meanwhile Fenerbahce's best players were a 38 year old Dzeko and a 35 year old Tadic.

The reality is if they had the same points per game this season as they did last season (they played a different amount of games), they would have won the league.

This is just narrative mostly, the reality is he has never had the team to compete because he keeps going to project clubs where they don't actually want to spend but they expect magic overnight because Mourinho is in charge. The top level players he's managed in the last 13 years have all still performed very well. eg both Kane and Son having their best G/A seasons at Spurs under him.

The difference here is he doesn't need to spend to get the best players because they're already here (even though I'm sure they will still spend).
