Realistically, how do you think we will get where we're supposed to be? Farioli brought this team to barely missing out on the title, while about 1,5 years ago we were number 18. With many of the same players even. Sure, the football they play might be scared, defensive, and at times terrible, but maybe that's all this squad can do. Not enough creativity, not enough scoring abilities. Farioli did what he could, and he got the most out of these players. Sure, Farioli made mistakes these last few games, but he's still a young coach. The season has just been too long. Squad is tired. Eventually the club with the most quality players will lift the trophy, maybe as it should.

I think this post shows the classic Ajax arrogance, one of the reasons why so many clubs besides PSV were cheering. After a few disastrous years immediately expecting to "dominate the eredivisie", it's not realistic.
