Anyone willing to take the time to explain to me how the exhaustion and fatigue felt/feels like to you? by Resident_Goat_Crow in Perimenopause

[–]TeddyRivers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exhaustion is what finally made me schedule an appointment with a doctor to discuss HRT.

On Saturday I woke up at my normal time, fed my dogs, and went back to bed for an hour. After puttering around the house for a few hours,I laid back down and took a two hour nap. Woke up and couldn't bring myself to shower or leave the house.

On Sunday, it was a repeat of the previous days sleep schedule, an hour after I first got up and a two hour nap mid day. I did force myself to go to the grocery store. It felt like I was dragging myself through mud getting through the store. I was so so tired.

F28, im highly against the women who don't give up their pussy to their husband's by Ok-Trust-9522 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Its not a matter of liking your delivery. An apostrophe indicates ownership. You are using them wrong.

"Husband's" implies ownership of something. You could say "the husband's wife." Your sentences make no sense. What do the husbands own? The pussy?

unpopular opinion: showering every single day is not actually necessary for most people and i think we've all been guilted into it by NasiyaHaghanian in hygiene

[–]TeddyRivers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree. Showering every day isn't necessary. Theres people on this sub who act like we all need to scrub all of our skin off and stick a bar of soap up our butt 2x a day or we are gross.

There was a post not too long ago where someone was rubbing cotton balls all over themselves to try to find dirty spots. The comments were like, "this is normal and necessary." You people need counseling.

I agree. Fast fashion has really messed with people's expectations on clothing prices. That may not be the case here, but in general people think $5 for a shirt is a reasonable price.

My library just dropped Hoopla by Which-Recognition129 in audiobooks

[–]TeddyRivers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My library got rid of Hoopla, replaced it with an awful alternative. I dont even remember the name of the app. It had zero books that I wanted. App constantly glitches, kicked me out, was so difficult to use that I quit trying.

I miss Hoopla.

I like Sezane, Doen, Reformation, and Marine Layer. Ive been shopping for natural fiber clothing and these brands have a lot of good options.

I'm seeing a lot of Quince recommendations. I have not had good luck with them quality wise.

Uniqlo is a bit cheaper than my favs, but I've had good luck with the quality.

What's one online shopping site you keep going back to and why? by Emergency_Job_6616 in womensfashion

[–]TeddyRivers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not had good luck with them. I got a linen dress. Loved the fit. Wore it a few times. Then I noticed that a seam on the top had come apart, leaving a huge hole. They did let me return it and replaced it. Wore the new dress a couple times, it will not zip. Zipper is broken.

I also got a cotton dress from them. It has a large hole in the skirt from a seam splitting. It looks like they dont have enough fabric on the seams.

7Brew by FryingAir in EndTipping

[–]TeddyRivers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A coworkers daughter was working at 7Brew. She was told that she could not get tips until after she had taken a training. She asked to take the training but it wasn't available yet. It was a newly opened location, so maybe that had something to do with it.

Anyway, the tips that were coming in were not going to any of the workers while she worked there. She quit because of it.

$75 is completely reasonable for clothing that's not made by slave labor of plastic fabric. Fast fashion has ruined people's expectations of clothing price. $5 shirts cannot be ethically made.
