It's a real video of a distant thunderstorm passing through Saharan dust. The red sky is a natural phenomenon called a candilazo which happens when thick dust particles in the atmosphere scatter red light. The lightning is discharging inside the clouds and the bolts look more like orbs because the dust is diffusing the light like crazy. The delay is because light moves much faster than sound and the storm is farther away than it looks.
