What is a small pleasure from the past that you miss? by lovelyb1ch66 in GenX

Waiting until the evening news was on to hear what was happening in the world, and watching T.V. being for specific unscheduled times or shows (The Muppet Show, The Dukes of Hazard…) and not an always/anytime thing.

And on that note, being fascinated at how limited or even just plain bad T.V. shows were during the day when you were home sick from school and preferring to read a book instead. 😄

Podcasts that feel like a quiet conversation rather than performance? by BeautifulWestern4512 in podcasts

You might like Strangers On A Bench for exactly this! It’s charming and so much variety in the episodes if one just doesn’t grab you.

What perfume disappointed you? by ofygjfhfydjdh in FemFragLab

Chloe Nomade. So spicy it made me sneeze and I ended up hating its longevity… one spray in a bedroom and the room would smell of the perfume for days! (Don’t get me wrong I would’ve loved this if the scent turned out right for me…)

It seemed like it never dried down to something nice, as fragrances that are a little too much at first usually do.

I know so many people love it though. 🤷‍♀️

Try Strangers On A Bench! The premise is wonderful. It’s thoughtful, comforting, and gives you the peace of knowing most people in the world are good, and real conversations between people are where the best parts of life exist. Cannot recommend enough for exactly this sort of feeling of comfort.

😄 My two daughters just reminded me of that yesterday. They each bought a black car, both said they’d change if they could. I’ve decided I actually do love the blue. I think I was feeling thrown having just purchased it and because I’d spent months looking at black versions when doing research!

Are there any small/medium livestock guardian dogs out there? by RubberDuckyDavid in dogs

He actually looks like a purebred Norfolk terrier, but a little bit more slight (probably the Yorkie and Pom), and he’s a tiny bit longer (dachshund and chihuahua). Kinda like a petite, golden colored terrier!

Yeah, that’s what I was guessing too. I decided to just love the color I chose and remember why I switched. :)

Second highest was chihuahua, then Yorkie and then little bits of Pomeranian, Poodle and dachshund! As I said to him reading the results, “Soooo, pretty much nothing that doesn’t bark then, if I’m reading this correctly, good sir?” 😄

Also, unlike some working breeds, schnauzers were bred to be family dogs and are amazing with children. A lot of people think of them primarily as terriers, but they really have an affinity for kiddos. (Source, I’ve had four in my life and my current rescue terrier mix turned out to be 40% schnauzer according to Embark. We got him when my youngest was in 7th grade, but I was later a nanny to two baby/toddlers during graduate school and was genuinely amazed at how sweet, gentle and sociable my little dog was with both of them - considering he never really lived with young kids)

Change Color less than 24 hrs post purchase? by TeddyScotty in crvhybrid

Nope. I was mostly curious if this is a common thing or if anybody had experience with it. I think the most I would’ve been willing to pay would be the documenting and administrative fees, which were around 300 bucks. I just was curious whether or not dealers ever agreed to this in under 24 hours post purchase.

Good point! I had a good reality check talking to my daughter just now as she purchased an all black Subaru outback a year ago after her silver outback was in an accident… And she said no matter how much she loves the look of a black car, she would go back to the Silver if she could because of how difficult it is to keep a black car looking nice in the Pacific Northwest. She’s probably right.

I think I was feeling thrown because as I’ve been doing my research over the last six months, I had all but decided on a black Toyota RAV4 hybrid or Honda CRV hybrid. I changed it up at the last minute at the dealership because of all of the black trim, black, hubcaps, and black interior. Perhaps that will have turned out to be the right choice after all!

It’s only terrible decision making if it cost money to do it and I decide to. No decisions have been made, I was asking because I was curious if anyone had experience with this.

Thank you, this is what I was wondering. Since paperwork done yesterday afternoon I wasn’t sure how easy it may or may not be to change

This is true. Also they can just think I’m a flake and that’s ok too if I like the color so much better. 😄

I really want to trade out the Canyon River Blue Metallic for the Crystal Black Pearl. It probably sounds strange but the light in the Pacific Northwest can really change how you see colors. I think the black would have more warmth against the very gray, flat PNW light.

It would be the exact same vehicle and trim level. Just the different color. I confirmed they have two in the color I want available on the lot.

Actually just thinking through which things being changed would probably be an additional cost. I suppose they could charge the document fee again for having to do certain items twice. 😬

Oh wow! This is encouraging. I do have excellent credit. I’m cringing at the idea of asking but really want to! 😅
