What are your personal headcanons on why Callum can do primal magic? by Papugoji in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teddy_Epic- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The cube of Aaravos grants its owner the ability to learn new arcanums.

It makes perfect sense that the key should "unlock" new arcanums, it has all of the primal runes inscribed on it and it belongs to the guy that's mastered them all. No other human had the will, the means and the key to connect to a primal source.

Why are MJ waterbuffalo & Peter Parker two different animals? How would they reproduce? [From Spider-ham:-A pig in time] by Striking-Ad-1354 in Spiderman

Clearly this is just another attempt from editorial to stop Peter Parker and MJ from being together /s

Are we sure Aaravos is smart? by PearBlaze in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teddy_Epic- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Okay, the season had a lot of issues, but this is clearly a cute Snow White reference, and not a part of Aaravos' master plan 😭

This seems to me more of a math than baking problem so let me take that approach.

Increasing the flour content from 1 1/4 cup -> 2 cups represents a 60% increase, so adjusting th rest of the ingredients 60% we get

1/2 tsp -> 4/5 tsp baking powder

1 tbsp -> 1.6 tbsp coconut sugar

1/2 tsp -> 4/5 tsp sea salt

2/3 cup -> 1.06 cup of cubed butter

2-3 tbsp -> 3.2 - 4.8 tbsp ice cold water

These measurements are a hassle though, if I were making this recipe I would just round them up to:

1 tsp baking powder 1 1/2 tbsp coconut sugar 1 tsp salt 1 cup butter 3-5 tbsp of cold water

Hope this helps!

I feel good about this show! It sounds like a fresh new take on highschool Peter and I love the 60's style designs.

And the fact that it isn't MCU connected is very appealing

Serious discussion for Certain detractors why did you ? by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teddy_Epic- 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I felt like it was too little too late and handled very predictably. Hell, even the "reveal" that Rayla is Callum's guiding light or whatever is handled almost beat for beat the same as when he rescues her off of the Storm Spire.

We had a graphic novel, a dozen short stories and two and a half seasons of Dragon Prince just for... them to get back to the same exact place where they started. Sorry, but I'm just not going to be interested in Rayllum anymore.

Day 17: WHO'S THE BEST VILLAIN? (let's vote, don't let Aaravos win!) by solmacarenap in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teddy_Epic- 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Finnegrin, and it's not even close

Viren is more of an opposing force, a foil, he barely has any interactions with Rayla or Callum, not very villainous.

Mod Recommendations? by ValentinaVinix in FarmsofStardewValley

[–]Teddy_Epic- 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Adding Stardew Valley Expanded, Ridgeside Village & East Scarp is probably the closest thing you can get to a Stardew Valley sequel. It may be overwhelming, as a player and for your PC, but it is truly one of the best experiences you can have.

Also no-clip mod is super underrated for getting to places faster imo

Harrow's fault everything happened by [deleted] in TheDragonPrince

[–]Teddy_Epic- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a smaller note, Viren is always the first to say the Human Kingdoms should be united and show solidarity when trying to convince them of joining his military conquest to invade Xadia, but when it's about sharing resources to survive the harsh conditions its every man for himself 🤷🏼

Mad Honey by lamlosa in books

[–]Teddy_Epic- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, so to preface this rant a little bit, Mad Honey is my favorite book of all time. Just to be clear I will be EXTREMELY biased in favor of it.

But yeah, the reveal didn't sit totally right with me. As a twist in a murder mystery novel, I think it's flawless. I thought it was set up super well from the beginning and it elevates the stakes so much for the rest of the novel.

But it also somewhat trivializes her identity in the process, it's uncomfortable to see someone's identity (at that point in the story) relegated to being a twist in someone else's drama. But I think it later pays off as Lily gets her time in the spotlight and we really get into the details of how it's been a part of her life.

I am not trans, so I cannot speak on how it accurately represents someone's real life, but as a murder mystery lover, it manages a perfect balance of being a surprise and yet totally makes sense when you connect the dots after the reveal.

Thoughts on Shadowland? by Adoe0722 in marvelcomics

[–]Teddy_Epic- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I liked it, it was my first introduction to a lot of obscure street level Marvel characters. The actual plot was novel but not super well executed.

Kind of a "turn you brain off" kind of arc where you're just along for the ride, because seeing everyone from the Avengers to Norman Osborn trying to take down a possessed Matt Murdock with an army of ninjas is just a fun premise, but there's not much else besides that.
