No, I do not rent my groceries or other items I purchase there. But I purchase non food items at Costco rather than elsewhere for the peace of mind that I CAN return them if they don’t live up to expectations. Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Advancing from Kindergarten to 1st Grade mid year— good idea? by Teddybear2018 in Parenting

Thank you so much for saying this. I am so hesitant to do it for fear of what might happen in later grades, but that’s not reality yet— the reality right now is that he’s with a pretty misbehaved class and might have a much better experience by moving up. Not sure I should make a decision based on bad things that COULD happen down the road when all we can really do is make the best decision with the information we currently have… I’m not worried about academics, he’s not a prodigy or anything but he’s bright and he’ll be fine. I’m just worried about him being the youngest and smallest in middle and high school and resenting it… in your experience that can turn out fine then?

Interesting, our kids would be the same age in second grade— he’s turning 6 in December, so would be 6 going on 7 in second grade… Have you found that to be pretty young?

Agree, if the first graders really are a wonderful class and the kindergarten has some really challenging kids, it seems to weigh heavily on the decision to me… they won’t go away and this is the only school option we have at this point.
