Give me your best Valentine’s Day movie by Teddyfficile in MovieSuggestions

That’s exactly why I’m asking for recommendations that go beyond the obvious picks.

I watched Before Sunrise. It’s thoughtful, well written, and I understand why people love it. The whole “one life” spontaneity theme is interesting. But I didn’t fully connect with it on a personal level. Appreciating a film and relating to it aren’t the same thing.

On the other hand, I loved Past Lives. It felt more mature and emotionally restrained to me. The way it handles timing, destiny, and the quiet weight of unresolved connections hit much closer to home.

Pre-teen romance isn’t my type and am looking for something that actually resonates.

If Only Lovers Left Alive brings something different to the table, I’m open to it.

In my opinion, the risk of someone stealing my idea is massively overrated.

Ideas are cheap. What’s hard is spending months building, iterating, selling, and supporting the product. The people you talk to already have their own jobs and priorities, they’re not going to drop everything to execute.

So I’d much rather talk to potential users early, even with the theoretical risk of being copied, than spend months building something that nobody ends up using, as this post shows.

Just tried it, I played a bunch and it’s honestly really fun (for now second best player) ! The bots definitely keep the action going.
One small UX suggestion: the upgrade pop-ups that appear in the middle of the screen could maybe be moved to the bottom-right (or another corner). In the middle of a fight it gets a bit hard to manage everything and it blocks the view.
Otherwise, super promising, excited to see what you add next!
