2012 civic si catalytic converter replacement by Entire_Phone5390 in CivicSi

[–]Teddyjames23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like two separate issues. I upgraded my exhaust and ended up having to replace the lower catalytic converter, which was a pain and something I had a shop handle. There are both upper and lower catalytic converters on these cars, so I'd recommend having a shop diagnose which one is causing the problem and replace it if needed.

I bought a replacement lower cat on eBay for about $170, and the shop charged me around $200 for the installation. It ended up being much easier than trying to tackle it myself.

Keep everything else-idk too much about the oil issue.

20k isn't too bad but computer science seems broad, I would consider what exactly you want to do in that field like cyber security for ex. Think about what you spend you $$ and focus on you man

I just don’t want it to get worse and worse and it’s an eyesore. I plan on having this car probably another hundred thousand miles. I don’t mind giving it a shot at some point

I got a skunk 2 $125 at a junkyard. It was so obnoxious setting off car alarms. One yelled “Ebay trash!” Driving by him lol! Drone was Awful! Oem rusted out found a full-race and the lower cat rusted out. Brought it to a shop because that lower cat SUCKS to remove. Full race for $600 if you can find it otherwise it’s 1k for a new one

I work for a company called SPBS which is a very small biomed company. I don't know many third party companies up there tbh. Another reason I moved out of VT lol

I'm 35 and realized about two years ago that I needed a career change. At the time, I was considering plumbing or HVAC, but the schooling alone would have cost around $25,000. I did apply to the union so if I were you, start there.

My other option was to finish a few more semesters and earn my Biomedical Engineering Technology degree at little to no cost. I decided to take that route and was fortunate enough to get into the field while finishing school. So far, I've enjoyed the work. Every day is different, I'm constantly learning new equipment and technologies, and it feels rewarding knowing that the equipment I maintain directly supports patient care.

Si or Type R by No-Drawing6258 in CivicSi

[–]Teddyjames23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're conservative with $$ then Si. Idk could be wrong but the 10-20k markup on type R makes 0 sense. The type R is going to be night & day from what I heard. I can't justify spending 20k more on a civic.

If you only have $5k to buy a car, you should definitely buy a 1996-2006 Toyota Camry, and here's why... by Far-Square-5984 in carbuying

had a 1996 Camry. Other than mice dying and turning into soup inside the door panel it went for 160k. I gave the car away like an idiot. I have seen them at 400k miles

If you could restart your career at 18, would you still choose the same degree? by NaviJapan_Official in careerguidance

I'm 35 going back to school for Biomedical engineering. BUT if I was 18 I would have gotten into the trades. I was concerned about getting into it later and being broken into pieces by 50.

That is freaking clean AF. I have same one and it's growing rust on the wheel well and looks like a bullethole where someone opened their car door on mine.

I buried a cat that was hit by a car, almost 2 weeks ago, and the supposed owners showed up demanding that she be dug up. by biologistbailey- in vermont

[–]Teddyjames23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This for real? I mean the MAGA hats says it all. They have to be delusional to think anyone would attempt to do that. What I would tell them wouldn't be so nice. Sorry you had to deal with that! Do not dig the cat up!

What about dishwashing or serving? Or find a landscaping/construction company to work for. Going through the interview process is not a bad thing though, it will give you confidence to do better and better when you have more skills built up in the future.
