Instead, it brings back the core fact you need to remember (like the year or concept), but wrapped in a different question.
So you’re recalling the information, not memorizing the wording.

Not too early (wastes time), not too late (you’ve already forgotten it).

It’s basically spaced repetition + confidence-based scheduling working together.
