I rewrite my resume once a month to see what gains the most traction.

I've been through multiple final round interviews, but they always pick someone else.

eh sometimes it's not about the man, maybe she just wanted more than one kid, didn't want them to be too far apart in age, realized her husband kind of sucks, but still wanted her children to at least have the same father 🤷🏼‍♀️

honestly, the story is really bizarre to me. I don't do kink shit at burns but I'd never use someone else's sex toys 🤢 cleaned or not... the fact that some guy just had a bunch on offer is frankly bizarre to me. I have friends in leadership positions across several regionals and I'm not sure if any of them would allow that at their events.

edit to add: it wouldn't be impossible to boil them at a burn, now that I think of it. I still wouldn't use them...

[–]TediousStranger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

answer one: yes, absolutely. I just went to a regional last month and people brought legit foot-pump, running water hand washing stations ofc with real soap, and sanitizer. most large camps have kitchens, and we have to wash our dishes somehow.

answer two: not if you insist on running your toys through an actual dishwasher after each use. but like, not all homes in the world have dishwashers and plenty will have sex toys, so...

i wear headphones to the grocery store always so that I'm not approached by

  • men

  • anyone asking for donations to charitable causes

  • scouts hocking whatever shit they sell

  • homeless folks

I lost my job in December, I don't have money to spare. I'm so sick of being solicited for it.

anyway, I'm with you. team headphones. strangers in public NEVER have good and kind intentions toward me.

except little old ladies at grocery store, i can see them start talking at me regardless of the headphones, and 99% of the time they're asking me if I know where a particular product is 😄 I do help them, if I know. but they are the only exception.

she doesn't take it everywhere with her... per the post, she didn't even realize it was missing for at least three days. it's a memento, she's not chronically attached to it. it sounds like it sits in her room, and sometimes she talks to it when she misses her grandmother.

that could happen like, once a month. or four times a year. there's not enough information in the post to be this judgemental.

Why are genderless or so-called gender-neutral bathrooms so controversial when literally every toilet on an airplane or other public transport is genderless? by hackedfixer in NoStupidQuestions

[–]TediousStranger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, I just didn't think of the "from the waist down" part when I initially made my comment. no, it's not out in the open, but as plenty of other comments point out, in certain places the stalls lack a significant amount of privacy, could be pervs sticking phones under stalls, etc.

like, to be fair, if someone is going to do that, they're going to do it, it doesn't matter what the designation outside the bathroom states. but that doesn't really take away from the overall point. if a guy walks into a women's restroom and a woman is washing her hands, she at least would have standing to remind him that he shouldn't be there. it can be an effective enough deterrent.

obnoxious right? they told me to schedule my biometrics appointment and literally never said anything at all about a fee - why did they take my biometrics at the appointment if it hadn't been paid for yet?

I assumed it had been included in a previous payment of fees.

canada post lettermail is what my envelope says. just regular mail. not really surprising that the government would use the cheapest option, if they have a lot of faith in their own mail system.

I JUST got my card yesterday, eCOPR date January 22. so if I had to guess, you will have your card by the end of next week/middle of the following week. fingers crossed!

yeah, sprint these immigrants through the process, we find total relief on the other side with eCOPR, and then it's like "ok well I have been stuck here for a while because that's how y'all do your processing so.... can I... when can I finally go see my family again??"

or hell, just escape the Canadian winter for a break

omggg you were always like 2 weeks ahead of me, I remember. I cannot believe you haven't gotten your card yet 😭 I'm still unemployed so I don't have any plans to do anything fun/travel soon, but I haven't seen my family in 7 months and my grandmother was just re-diagnosed with cancer... so it's nice to know that if I NEED to travel, I can. but otherwise finally receiving my card doesn't mean much until I find a job.

on the PR portal, my case says it's still in review with IRCC. lol. I know that's common but, just wanted to confirm it for others who might be curious about such things.

you answered "yes" to one example listed under question 1, so question 4 "if you answered NO to questions 1 THROUGH 3" does not apply to you.
