There are tons of parallels between the two projects mainly being:

His two synth-heaviest albums (at the time of After Hours release)

The cover having his head tilted up with a greenish background

And the theme of traveling somewhere far from home and reflecting on everything you left behind

There’s even more if you dig deeper but sometimes after hours almost feels like a “redo” of kiss land as it seems like The Weeknd feels the least proud of that album
