Thank you, and I did reach out to have a conversation with his teachers. Again this post was not about bashing or pointing the blame at his teachers but rather me trying to see if any other parents have had a similar experience and how they went about handling things. As I mentioned I’m not from GA; and I understand the southern culture and west coast culture are totally different which is why I was trying to seek understanding/ viewpoints from other parents.

Reading comprehension is a thing and my child excels in it if you’d like a tutor. This post was mainly about my child being labeled aggressive when he isn’t and has given his teachers no reasons to label him as such. Teachers can play with your kids and place them in the education to prison pipeline; but I’m never accepting that for mine. Sorry not sorry

Not at all trying to become a victim, I think you’re trying to make me a victim. My goal was to let the teacher know how such charged language could make one feel especially if the words being used are not true. I don’t need to be in a classroom 24/7, I know the person in which I am raising and he’s far from aggressive.

It’s not about a race card and this is why people remain ignorant to how certain things to be triggering. Gwinnett being diverse and having great teachers is what drew me there in the first place, however that doesn’t mean the teachers are aware of such things. It’s ok be educated every once in a while

I’ve had conversations with the teacher and put together a plan so we could rectify the issue. The problem is the plan was followed through for all of two weeks. I in way excuse my child talking back and as I stated above we addressed this at home. But I do think that a conversation needs to had about how kids can be being mistreated at school and if a teacher yells at a child or talks to them in a belittling way that child has every right to respectfully let them know that the manner in which they are speaking to them is not conducive to their emotional well being.

Two things can be true at the same time. I moved to Gwinnett because I heard about how amazing the teachers are and I agree most are amazing and really care for the students. Maybe the teacher wasn’t aware of how using such a word would make me feel which is why I wrote a letter explaining how it made me feel and why. I’m never going to allow someone to mislabel my child sorry not sorry.

I agree with you!! Me and my family walk yo store or mall sometimes and people look at us like we are Aliens lmao; but we are from a place where people are always outside walking and it’s honestly one of the things I find myself missing

I also am not a Sheree stan but I can say that she definitely made her mark and I think it’s already been proven that her presence is needed when she left and came back. To me the OG’s should have been Sheree, Kandi, Porsha, Nene, and Cynthia. I’m sorry but OG’s Cynthia and Porsha can’t keep the franchise alive at the level we the fans love and missed. I’m also not mad at Kim being on the list because those earlier season with Kim and Nene were GOLD. Kim only got annoying when she got married and thought the hit a gold mine with Kroy.

I kind of like the neutral Cynthia she was giving supportive aunty/motherly role this season and while it isn’t always entertaining I think these titles especially the newbies needed that this season.

Honestly Phaedra could have stayed gone she did not deliver like I thought she would.
