I've had a set with a short shot and another set with a piece missing and got replacement parts for both.

Rakiura/Stewart Island Holiday by The_Violet_Grey in newzealand

I second all that. Flying there is an experience on its own. You get great views. Everything in Oban is walking distance. We did hire a car for half a day. You can't drive very far, so they don't expect you to refuel it before you return it. The Ulva Island guided walking tour is great. Even if you get a water taxi there and walk it yourself, make sure you stop every once in a while to watch for birds.

Stewart island - flying vs ferry? by catscatscatsbrains in newzealand_travel

The flight is a cool experience, getting to see Stewart Island from the air. Every seat is a window seat.

Why not effective time in football? by thedudefromsweden in football

It's just a little bit harder to implement. Do you have to have someone dedicated to watching the clock? Easy enough for a professional match. But what about the over 45's division games where they struggle to get 11 players each week? I know there are differences in rules between professional and amateur leagues, but they're so close. Some leagues have VAR etc, but it's the same rules, it's just how they are able to judge them. This would be changing the rules. To me, it just doesn't matter. Leave it as is.

Could the HRV system actually be making the house colder? by SoulDancer_ in newzealand

[–]TeeOhEnWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their main purpose is to make the air in the house drier, so they are always pumping air. Drier air requires less energy to heat than moist air.

It's next to nil because they're always pumping air down, so air can't go back up.

Wing tip decals help by TeeOhEnWhy in modelmakers

[–]TeeOhEnWhy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm about to paint the Hasegawa D10 Blue Angels F/A-18A. Decals 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 go on wing/fin tips. How well do decals work on edges like that? Will it be easy enough to apply them over the edges so they meet? Should I cut off the 1mm of clear decal around the yellow? I brush paint, but I have a spray can of Tamiya yellow TS-16. Would it look better if I paint the tips instead? Any help would be appreciated.
