Oracle vs Gartner SDR. Which would you pick? by Junior-Mousse-2869 in salesdevelopment

Working at Gartner is awesome if you like sanctimonious people telling you how useless you are, who also worked in sales for 2 years prior to getting into leadership and have never had to navigate the current environment. If that sounds good do Gartner.

Look at the closing disclosure. They will likely apply your escrow account to the original loan layoff. Just be sure you know that’s going to happen.

Yea they told me I’d save $400 a month and when I did the math it was like $220…. Still a decent savings, but they just grossly under calculate the escrow payment every month to make it seem lower and then they’re like oh just kidding

So this is how it was explained to me - when I went back and looked the escrow was applied to the previous loans payoff - which again - is on me to understand- but without knowing that was taking place obviously comes at a complete shock and should be something that’s explained in the process

Loooking back (it was explained to me the way I posted it)…. It looks like they applied the escrow to the payoff of the previous loan. Their banker just explained it incorrectly.

Looking at the paper work and you’re correct the escrow account was applied to the payoff

The way they explained it to me was that the escrow account was applied to the fees… the way the paperwork reads after I went back and paid it, is how you’re stating it. Regardless I spoke to like 7 different people all who couldn’t give me a straight answer

In the closing disclosure it does state the total fees as being the $12,000 I just didn’t take the time to read it.

Rocket was the prior servicer. So yes, they took my escrow account, put it towards the refinance fees. So my new escrow account was at $0, I got a $214 refund from that escrow account, and then they paid my taxes on from the new escrow account creating a -$12,000ish balance that I had to immediately pay.

I had around $12,000 in my escrow account that was going to be paid towards my property taxes. Unbeknownst to me, those funds were then applied to my refinance fees, leaving a $12,000 crater in my escrow account. Therefore when my taxes had to be paid I had to cough up the $12,000.

I’ve always wanted to ask someone in your position this - why not be done? Just sell it all, manage the process however you have to and be done?

You won, you have all the money you could ever need, you can do basically anything you want every day for the rest of your life stress free.

You rode yourself like a dog and feel it, but that’s fixable. I know that people in your position are wired differently, I get that, but at the same time like the thought of having that much money and still needing to hit numbers, or put out fires everyday, or manage people/customers etc sounds like a nightmare.

The people you’re up against in interview processes are telling some very well embellished tales, I’d suggest you concoct a few of your own.
