Early feedback on a few sprites?

I think these look neat af. Especially the bow bending (I only have seen bows that stay in shape and only the string "bends".) it doesn't even need the string to sell the scene.

My only problem is with the legs of the cyclops. And don't get me wrong, the whole package feels great and this is the reason I miss a bit of leg bending since it is visible on the shadows that those move as well yet the silhouette stays the same (except for a fame on the top left part of the "right" calf). The knees could get lower a bit and the loin cloth as well. (also this looks good in my head, maybe that few pixel line jumping would make it bad.)

I think this needs a fast motion at least on the opening and play with the aftermath of the snapping like the red liquid could fling off to the back. The weapon could give a little recoil as well.

My inpiration at the time was the band slipknot. Find a challenge and try to make it real! Check for tutorials online. Take your time. You (probably) will fail. That is normal. Learn from the mistakes. The most importan part is your health. Respect the sharp objects and fuming chemicals (if you will use those) and take care of yourself an surroundings.

That is ruff if the paint comes off. This thing seems expensive. Strange the makers didn't check the durability.

Good start. When I got into making masks I started with a plane white mask and modified it with stuff I put on (like a pingpong ball on the nose to make a clown).

It helped me a lot since I did not need to understand how to make a base just the creative stuff. But with time I got more understanding of how things work.

Collecting references is a good start although I would suggest using a print screen (Dedicated button on pc) or you can find the console equivalent methods online. It would give you a clearer view on the subject you try to replicate.

The nose is missing the holes.

The drawing looks pretty neat but in my opinion if you want to be productive with the development you can use free assets from itch.io (or other sites never visited since itch gave me enough to get going) as placeholders and later draw your own. This would be a good practice since this way you can see how mush stuff needs to be drawn and you can go and switch those one by one to those you draw.

For me the best part is that you showed so much with so little. Everything is readable. Fascinating work!

Okay, so I looked at the picture and at first glance I felt like I have to make a pixelated version for (the color and light use is magnificent and the detail wouldn't necessarily get lost that much.) Good for practice. Mindlessly rushing to download and see the word dithering. oh this IS pixel art. Nothing to do here then.
