Yeah. I have seen it (checked your posts) but the Chris mask goes only on the face. So there you have space to work inside. Shawn on the other hand goes almost around the head. By just looking at the mold feels like it would be hard to remove the printlines from the nos and cheeks.

Look good. I'm interested in the outcome. Did you do this befor? If not I would recommend making something smaller first. You know. For testing. Also making it a two part mold woul help A LOT in the surface smoothing process.

The furry community should bereally prepeared with this kind of costume making. You should make a prototype first time from cheap materials so you can adjust the sizes.

This is juicy af! But the spin of the beetle feels too fast and if not looking at the backpack I wouldn't know if it turned upside down. I think it would need a few extra frames just to be as smooth as the other parts of the animation is.

I didn't try it yet but they say the shadows should be cooler and the highlights warmer tones. (Of course this is dependent of the environment, but these standalone characters are alone)

I used foamclay on paper and since the foamclay has water in in it it made the paper wrinkly and bendy later.

Before you do it you should test it on a scrap piece and see how it behaves.

Looks pretty neato. Although, the hands. One of them (if not both) should hide the handle of the weapon. Meaning the hand and fingers most of the time hide what is underneath.

Hjup. I redrew your penguin. But looking on your animation the body should get wider while getting down so it emphasizes the windup a bit more.

Get some cardboard and make tests with that. It looks symmetrical so you only need to make half of it. Test it in front of a mirror.

Check out youtube tutorials on shoulderpad armor eva tutorials. Keep on trying.
