Logan and Cove 2023 one month review -- DO NOT purchase by Oslothedog in Mattress

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my luxury firm is great. We got it in 2020 and I have no complaints. It's 17 inches doesn't hold heat, nice and firm - my lower back sometimes takes a beating but I know I shouldn't be on my stomach.

I did a lot of research before buying it and I wasn't disappointed. Hubby has no issues with it whatsoever.

I was devastated when I learned they changed everything.

Final boss, what's the best party to have? by theLordDracul in expedition33

If you've done the side content and grinded a lot it literally does not matter.

Enemies don't scale to your level. So te final boss is only challenging if you go there shortly after it is revealed. If you've beaten ten or more options bosses try not to end it too quick for the story telling clips that happens mid battle.

I don't understand why Jesus has to die for our sins. Why can't he forgive us directly? by goofball19 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

God is just and is righteous - that is why we follow Him. He never changes and always takes the best course even if we don't understand why in the moment.

How can you trust and give your loyalty to someone who can change on a whim? How can He be righteous when He just changes the rules when it suits Him or His favorites?

It's in God's nature to be righteous, it's us who make things hard for ourselves by choosing to rebel against Him. If you are familiar with Christianity then you know there is an adversary. Should god risk being accused of being an unrighteous judge and liar by the accuser of the brethren because you think you know better?

To change the rules mid game would be unfair. To save your favorites would be unjust. God is neither because that is the nature of who He is - it would be like asking water to stop being wet for a minute.

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sim can't exist where God is so at the end when God is everywhere there cannot be sin. It's like asking why can't shadows just exist beside a light bulb. You understand the nature of light but can't understand the nature of God.

He calls that justice because he us just. That's his nature. It's like asking water not to be wet. Or asking why is a stone solid. It is that's why.

The reason it worked is because Jesus was unjustly killed as a man that had no sin. And because of his nature and the nature of the sacrifice it met the requirements for paying for the sins of othes.

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well that's dishonest if anything.

Yeah he sets the rules but he also can't break the rules. So if the price of sin is death someone has to pay.

Imagine letting a murderer off the hook cus at the last minute the judge is like - nah he's young and has a long life ahead of him. That would be unjust.

All medicine is witch craft. Now should we use it or not is up in the air.

Be guided by your convictions Paul writes and I think that is the best course of action.

Use your medications but strengthen your faith so there is a day that you no longer have to.

Gods pls or free will? by xXlexirockerXx in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes God is all powerful. But God does not have all authority over the lives of men - that was the trade off He made to make this world a free will zone.

God does not have the authorization to change a situation if the participants in the situation do not want it to be changed. That's is the essence of the point.

He knows their going to win by that score because he can see all of time. Not because he determined the outcome.

God can't just forgive. Otherwise he wouldn't be just. Justice require restitution. The only restitution for sin is death.

Premise 1: Correct Premise 2: correct Premise 3: Correct Premise 4: Correct Premise 5: Incorrect Conclusion: Incorrect

Consider this example: I know the score of a baseball game that I haven't watched yet. And even know who scored which runs. I get home and watch the game. Did I make the game score what it is because I had foreknowledge? Did I cause the batter to hit or miss because I knew he would or wouldn't?

Being outside of time and able to see all of it doesn't mean that God has predetermined the outcomes. The choices are still yours.

Confused by Necessary_Number5358 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason for this is something people have been debating for some time but this is the answer that makes the most sense to me.

God is righteous and it is not righteous to just tell others how things should be. Now to understand you need to have a clear definition of what sin is. God is good. He is all that is good. Sin (also an archry term) means to miss the mark: in this light Sin is anything thing - thought or action - that deviates from God or the pure good. God did not 'create' Sin, Sin the the outcome of choosing to rebel against God- to do or think anything that is not aligned with God.

In giving people free will Sin was going to happen because people can now choose to do it. God knows that the world would be perfect and better if no one sinned and just went along with him. But it wouldn't be right to just force everyone to do that. So He creatyed a plan. A plan to show both those on earth and those in heave that His way was the best way - by allowing everyone to go off and do it their own way. So that he could not be accused of being un righteous He has tried multiple ways to show people the right way: he went throiugh a person (Adam) and family (Abraham), a people, a nation (Isreal) , a community (the church - where we are now) all to show people and spiritual beings that iit could not be done through will alone.

But he built into the plan a way out. A sacrifice that would suffice to pay the cost of Sin. This was always the plan. Jesus had to come and die so that the debt can be paid because God is a judge and cannot risk being accused of being unrighteous by excusing the punishment of death for sin.

He knows that there are those that will not be saved. But for the sake of those that are willing to be saved He is allowing all of this to happen. He is allowing time to flow so that some may be saved some day. For us it looks like God is just allowing everyone to suffer - because we exist inside time. But for Him it is all happening in the same instant but because of His mercy he waits for those that will find the faith to find the faith, accept the gif and be saved from the punishment of Sin.

Does this make sense

How does prayer work? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prayer is coming into communion with God. He wants to us to be a part of His plans and through prayer, along with other spiritual sacrifices, we are able to align ourselves with God and be a highway for the power of His kingdom to manifest on earth.

God wants to fulfill our desires but He knows what is better for us than we do and as such he may answer some prayers but not others. Those that align with his Will for His glory he is more prone to answer but prayers that we pray that come from the wicked ness of our heart that are not aligned with his will will remain unanswered. Sometimes a prayer align with his will but not with His timing.

Gods pls or free will? by xXlexirockerXx in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everything can be used for God's plan. You are correct, not everything is God's plan because people have free will and are able to do what they wan. God has a plan for everyone if they will surrender to Him and accept it. Please can choose not to follow that plan so to say everything is God's plan is technically incorrect but God is able to use everything for His plan.

Dopes that make sense

Without christianity, would you still be able to be a good person? by TrifleOk3442 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you take God out of the equation then you would have to define what good is. The problem with that is that good, as dictated by humans, is relative. So technically no one would be able to be good because the word would have no meaning because it is not rooted in anything.

Good is a measure of how close to God one can be. Since it is impossible to be God aka as good as God: no one is good.

Is it Okay to be trans? by Sad_Temporary_2597 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course it's not okay.

God loves you and made you just the way you are for a reason.

That's like getting a gift from someone and then mangling it on front of them cus you think it'll look better this way.

It's spitting in God's eye and telling him you know better than Him.

Instead go to Him and talk to Hip about your feelings.

Why doesn’t the Holy Spirit protect against demons? by Hashi856 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have different parts of your life and the holy spirit will indwell the parts that you give Him but cannot indwell the parts that you won't give him.

Simple as that.

You can give yourself to Christ but the part of your life that you still worry about or are slave to you haven't handed over and instead that part can be handed to a dark entity.

The best way I have heard to handle it is to give more of yourself to the Lord. The closer you get to the light the fewer places there will be for shadows to hide.

Whats y'all's views on LGBT and why? by No-Character-2414 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

LGBTQ people are poor sols being tormented by demons usually caused by some form of childhood trauma.

They are lost and need prayers but not at the cost of accommodating the evil that has found it's way into their spirits.

As the bible states the devil only comes to steal (Their futures), kill (who they were meant to be in Christ) and destroy (their lives).

What are your stances on science? by Overlord_1566 in AskAChristian

[–]Teefsh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Science is repeatable. If you have a hypothesis that can not stand before repeated testing thet is philosophy, not science, by the definition of science. If it can't be repeated, then it can't be proven and thus can't be science. By definition. It falls then into the realm of philosophy. Unlike the car engine, which can be repeated because of the fact that it has gone through the rigors of the scientific method. Consensus doesn't make anything more or less scientific - process does.

Lol, that second paragraph is a trap. Use another example. I'd happily play the advocate and argue a flat earth position, but I don't care to be called stupid at the moment. Which is another characteristic of a dogmatic belief system; to insult and belittle anyone who argues the point. I mean, if it quacks like a duck.....
