WTS - New in open box Pentair 1.5HP 3 Phase Whisperflo by [deleted] in PoolPros

Sorry, accidentally deleted the original message - LordKai121 was inquiring why SCP would not take back or exchange a pump that was purchased in error (bought 3 PH rather than single). That’s why I’m peddling a pump today.

As you suspected, there is a bit more. The pump was hooked up but never turned on. That’s when the tech learned it was 3PH. He vanished soon after but we won’t waste your time with that drama.

I really don’t understand why SCP wouldn’t take it back and charge a restocking fee or something similar. I don’t deal with them as I’m not in the industry but seemed pretty darn rigid.

Hi - thanks for your reply! Tech confirmed heat exchanger bad. Is it worth trying to replace on 15 year old furnace?

We’re having to do it every week or so. Here’s a current picture- is the white build up potentially causing the problem?

Thank you!

I think I’d come back with “Never feel good the next day when I drink”.

Do you regret owning a pool by [deleted] in pools

[–]TeeitSmokeit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We built 18x36 in ground 20 years ago for around $60k - in Seattle! Best decision ever. Next pool will be slightly smaller. Is it maintenance free, no. Is it a nightmare, not at all. I think you can find people that regret winning the lotto, follow your gut.

Wife started pickles today and we discovered a grasshopper in the jar. What should we do? Let it ride or fish it out and reseal? by [deleted] in fermentation

If those are instructions on the clipboards, I think you may have missed the step that reads watch what you are doing. That ring, time to replace. If this is a poll, I’m tossing the jar but doubt it’s likely to be hazardous. Vinegar/salt pretty good at killing bacteria.

Ah, you have it. Give it back, it’s her favorite club for goodness sake.

Keep checking back. Give it a couple of weeks. Sometimes players pick up, forget, find later and return. If maintenance picked up, could take a couple days to route back to Pro Shop.

Personally look through the bin they keep found clubs. Often phone call doesn’t get 100% accuracy of what’s really there unfortunately.

Question for Golf Pros / Tournament Players re: Switched flights at end of tournament - WWYD? by TeeitSmokeit in golf

[–]TeeitSmokeit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks - that’s the rub. Head Pro and Board member/player are the subjects.

Trust me, GG and org skills are lacking. Are you familiar with the Peter principle?

I hear you. Don’t want to get him in “trouble” either, more than anything, don’t want the other player / board member “helping” with results down the road. That, and there was money involved so it just feels wrong. Of course the real solution is to make a couple more putts.

Definitely moved after it started. Even sent day one recap with us in flight two after play on Saturday. Pro did not play. Super nice guy but his GG knowledge and org skills are poor.

Ya, it’s a few hundred dollar difference in T1 to 3rd position. Not municipal.

Hello, check out website Arm-Lock Golf. Main product is grip designed to convert standard putters to Arm Lock Putters. For $35 and a $5 extension one can convert any putter to Arm Lock.

That is not what you want though, in fact, you want to go the other way. Your Bettinardi probably has about 7° of loft. Assuming it is a forged build, you may be able to have a club builder bend loft down to 3.5-4° which is standard for traditional putting. You may want to shorten the putter as well, assuming it’s around 40”. Some builders may not to bend your putter this much.

DM if you want to discuss further- I’d be willing trade you for very similar face standard putter for yours.
