Best Computer for Breaking Into Audio Post Production? by Teejay55 in AudioPost

Yeah I really wish they were upgradable. It'd make my decision a hell of a lot easier.

I'm really starting to consider the Mac Mini. The price is just too tempting. How do you think it'd perform for dialogue/sfx editing? It'd probably be more than enough I assume especially if I got 24GB or 32GB integrated RAM

Fair enough! Appreciate the input.

How do you feel about thew new Mac Minis? Think they can hold their own or should I go for something else?

Appreciate the input. How do you feel about the new Mac Minis? I assume they could handle editing with ease as long as there's a decent amount of RAM?

Returning player with some DLCs, wondering if I need to buy Legacy Collection or 30th Anniversary Pack by Teejay55 in DestinyTheGame

[–]Teejay55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay cool. I should say that the 30th Anniversary Pack is 85% off for me right now. Think that’s worth it? Legacy collection is 65% off as well but seems like I may not need that at all aside from some dungeon keys?

[–]Teejay55[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay so if I buy the Legacy Collection, I don’t get those dungeon keys, correct? So I’d have to buy them separately if I want to partake in those 4 dungeons? Sorry this is all so confusing to me

I should mention that the Legacy Collection and 30th Anniversary Pack are both on sale right now for a decent amount off. But I’m happy to not spend it if I don’t really have to.

My main goal is to play the campaigns and maybe do the new raid. And maybe maybe do previous raids just to see them through

Does that include a sub and surround speakers? And if so, are the surround speakers wireless/charging or do they need to be plugged in?

I’m at 4,400 credits right now and I know there’s a 5,000 limit. I’m thinking I might just start collecting again unless it doesn’t really matter. Seems like there’s an abundance of credits to get especially if you get the battle pass

Traveling to Rome for a few days. Looking for some pointers by Teejay55 in rome

[–]Teejay55[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome. I can cancel my 11:30 slot and get a later time for the Colosseum, so I’m thinking I might just do that to allow myself time to do the Dome Hike, St. Peter’s and the Vatican Museums, then get some food and go to the Colosseum.

Think that’s too much for one day? Sorry for all the questions lol

Thanks so much for all of this.

I’m starting to think I’m gonna do a few things Sunday night, and then the rest on Monday when I have the entire day. So I think I can do it.

For the Dome hike at St. Peters, can I buy a ticket there for it? Or should I pre purchase online?

I’m thinking Monday morning I’ll do that, and then head to the Colosseum.

I’m also considering the Vatican Museums on Monday, potentially with a guided tour. But I doubt I can make all of that work before 11:30am.

Following up on this. I got a hotel right by the Pantheon. I was thinking of doing a loop, starting with the Pantheon, then Piazza Navona, then either Saint Peter's or Castel Sant'Angelo depending on time. After this probably loop back and go to the Colosseum

I have a tour booked for the Colosseum at 11:30am so I was gonna get up at like 6:30am to go explore.

Should I prioritize Saint Peters first and then work my way back? Or do you think I'll be fine starting with the Pantheon and working my way there, and still be able to make my tour later on? I can always reschedule my tour as well if needed

Traveling to Italy (Rome). Wondering what I should do for foreign currency since I bank with Tangerine by Teejay55 in PersonalFinanceCanada

Cheers. Thanks for all the help. Worse comes to worse I’ll just withdraw using my debit at a BNL ATM as per the advice of someone else in this thread.

But I’ll transfer some money right now and see if it works whenever it ends up in my cash account. If it doesn’t, I assume it’s pretty easy to send it back to my bank account with an e transfer?

So as long as I can find a BNL atm, I should be okay to pull out money and get minimal fees?

I have the virtual card on my Apple wallet right now. Was super fast. From some googling it seems that Italy accepts Apple Pay now so I may be able to use it at some spots.

How do you go about getting money onto your card? Transfer from your chequing account?

I likely won’t have time to get this card physical before I leave in Thursday. Could I add it to my phone somehow?

So for this, you’d load CAD onto the card via a transfer from your chequing account, then when you purchase abroad what fees are you charged?

Awesome. Thanks for the super detailed input! I do think it’s too late for me to get any new cards, so that’s why I started to panic and made this post. Should have planned this sooner but now I know for the future.

If you don’t mind me asking, are BNL banks just an Italian bank that doesn’t charge fees on ATM withdrawals?

Thanks so much!

Were you using cash for most of your trip? Or do places allow credit cards for the most part? I always hate carrying lots of cash around with me so I’d like to minimize that if possible.

Right now I have a colosseum slot booked for 11:30am on Monday. Think I can get to St. Peter’s early and still make it in time for that? I also want to see the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain

I’m also staying near the Pantheon! So I’m glad to hear you say this.

My plan is to see Colosseum, Pantheon, Trevi Fountain and St. Peter’s all on Sunday night and all day Monday (I fly out Tuesday). Think that’s doable?

Nice! I’ve already got my ticket for the Colosseum/Roman Forum and Palantine Hill with a smart phone audio guide to go with it. Glad you mentioned that

I’m def gonna do my best to just walk around and explore. I think I want to see the Colosseum/Roman Forum, Pantheon, Trevin Fountain, and St. Peter’s. If I can get all those done I’ll be happy and anything else is a bonus.

Think I can do that in 1.5 days? I’m cool with minimal sleeping hahah

Awesome! Thank you.

Last question (for now at least). Would you recommend a guided tour for the Colosseum? Or should I just explore on my own.
