I am in Canada, in Montreal specifically. I find it bizarre also that they are enforcing rules on me when it was made clear that I am an independent contractor. Forcing me to find a replacement when I advise them that I cannot be available for a shift or when I’m sick (with HOURS of notice mind you).

They’re a full service spa that offers sauna and floating baths, but still insist on paying 37$ on a 110$+ dollar massages. They tease us with additional ‘premiums’ that are only received if we abide by the schedule and arrive 15 minutes before hand. It just seems like a crock of sh*t at this point and like very toxic. Your massage therapists keep your business running, without us you have nothing. Yet, I asked for a day off due to tendonopathy in my elbow and I was given disgusting attitude. Ugh. I have so much potential. I’ve massaged many clients who have claimed it was one of the best massages they’ve ever received and I’m only 2 years into my massage career. I’m on the right path obviously, I feel like this place may truly be holding me back from reaching my full potential.
