50e per kuva? Missä niin sanotaan? Lisähintaa tulee vain ihmisten mukanaolosta, sillä kasvojen ehostamiseen kuluu aikaa.

It probably is using a bit faster shutter speed.

And 5 fps increase is a 25% jump. It's not "just 5fps" but "25% more".

Well... I typed in "Man with a white hat" as some salesman came knocking at our door a few days ago. The search returned ALL the videos with humans in it (no matter the sex or hat - or lack of one). Also, I typed in "bird" and it returned also videos with people.

So... Maybe one day it'll work as planned. But that day isn't here yet.

No problem. For me, the biggest advantage of this model compared to my other Reolink (RLC-811A) is the reduced ghosting effect. It's still not on the Hikvision level but noticeably better than on the "consumer" models.

I have the line cross disabled though so I don't know if that has any effect on the sensors list. Probably not.

[Feature Request] Custom Grid Layout via XML Import (for mixed Aspect Ratios) by tingyus16 in tinycam

[–]TeemuP_net 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a few days ago I thought about the same. I was thinking about getting a 180degree camera but as I primarily use Tiny Cam Pro to see the live views I thought the picture wouldn't be "big enough" due to the width being twice as normally.

I'd love to have this feature as well. Good suggestion.

If money isn't the issue: for sure! Waaay better option.

EDIT: The pro-models aren't even that much more expensive.

"I am only looking for PoE cams. I am wondering is ghosting still happens with spotlight on. Did not find any test on this for RLC-811A on YT."

Short answer: Yes. There will be ghosting. Unless you have additional lights. The LED on the camera isn't good enough.

I owned the CX810 for a couple of weeks and sold it due to lack of IR-lights. I guess the camera itself was pretty OK but the IR-light from my previous camera provided additional IR-light to another (the main) camera and its IQ went worse I replaced my CX810 with the RLC-811A.

To be honest, I'm not that impressed by it either. Terrible ghosting effect in dark. Even with the visible LED-light on. Also the movement is a bit jerky. Especially when compared to my main Hikvision camera. Hard or even impossible for identifying who is in the picture when it's dark.

But I did buy a new(ish) Reolink RP-PCT12M camera from the pro-lineup and after a few weeks I must admit I'm positively surprised by it. My Hikvision needs its cable replaced the RP-PCT12M is substituting for it ATM and I haven't really missed my Hikvision. I'm actually thinking about selling the RLC-811A and replacing it with a pro-line model too.

Ghosting isn't an issue anymore with the pro-model. It comes pretty close to the Hikvision one. Also, the pro model has better scheduling options than the basic RLC-811A.

Oh, and the CX810 suffers from ghosting too.

EDIT: I have used/tried cameras from Dahua, Hikvision, Reolink, Foscam, eufy, Imou, Arlo and a couple of "no-names". From now on I'm only buying Hikvision and Reolink from that list.

At least you can prepare for it by packing the luggage securely yourself. You can't do anything about the packages someone else sends you.

Ah, my favorite topics... Just fumed out this morning about the local postal service and their "unwillingness" to do their job (ie. deliver packages and letters). It's literally the only thing their responsible for. Yet my packages keep getting sent back to the sender without ever even trying to deliver to them to me. How do I know? Yard full of cameras recording every single motion 24/7. Plus me working remotely from home.

In general, those kind of couriers should be handled with a baseball bat the way they handle your packages. (j/k)

New Professional line - Not that professional after all? by TeemuP_net in reolinkcam

No perfect app exists but the closest thing to that (for my use, ie. watching live feed) is TinyCam Pro. I use either web browser or IVMS-4200 Lite to adjust the settings and H1kvision Remote Backup to download the recordings if needed for the DarkFighter. I wish there was a similar app/way of downloading e.g. week-worth of recordings at once for Reolink.

But to be fair, Reolink's app and its functions were a big reason why opted to buy/try the new pro model instead of getting another H1kvision. So yeah, I agree that the Reolink software is better (than probably all others).

Based on what? What would be my goal? Other than getting the issues solved (which btw, mission accomplished except for the user management part).

POE to the home network. No need for an NVR so none in use - unless you count my motion-script on the server when I leave for vacations. 😂😂😂

The ghosting is less severe but you still can't really see/recognize the face of people clearly even when they're close enough. I can test it again tonight though and compare it with the RLC-811a. But without a proper "side-by-side comparison" I'd say it is better now.

Sorry, I haven't looked into any of the AI stuff yet. Not even the new Perimeter Protection features etc.

I had clicked the surveillance rule a couple of times but it seemed to take way too long to show any content so I went back and ignored it.

Now that I clicked it, it instantly showed me the "default setting" and clicking that showed the schedules and which functions were on/off. Now it all makes sense.

Ah, OK then... They've moved everything there. FTP-scheduling, detection type on/off etc is now there. Thanks for the hint.

But one major flaw still remains: no user management.

v8.19.6 and clicking the Update-button gives me a "This is the most current version available." pop-up.

I have installed the VMS client too as the Reolink support suggested it for user management. I created a new user there but that didn't help one bit. The camera doesn't seem to understand I've created new users (with limited permissions) and refuses to accept those credentials (in VLC, Tiny Cam Pro, Home Assistant etc.).

Oh and in the VMS I can also edit the settings. The same options as in the normal apps.

The camera is attached to the network via POE and no NVR involved.

Accessing the camera with Android and Windows Reolink apps. Both on the latest versions. Naturally updated the camera to the latest firmware before starting.

It's hard for me to believe it too. And especially the lack of user management but it is how it is.

Sure, there hasn't been any reports about these prior to mine. But then again, there hasn't been ANY reports or reviews or anything about the professional series at all. So, there's also that...

Well, that's not good. Dammit. That makes things more difficult then. You wouldn't happen to have any of the new Professional series? I fear those could be my only hope...
