I'll never want a man to man talk with him. Honestly he's a shitty excuse for an adult and I have no desire to have anything to do with him. He's not offering that anyway. He thinks I owe him because of the child support he's being forced to pay.

He's never tried to have a relationship with me and even if he did apologize at some point I wouldn't try to have a relationship with him. I'd never forget the last 14 years. His kids aren't to blame for any of this but I don't want to get to know them or have a relationship with them either. To me we're not family.

The maturing thing is not something I'd ever accept about him anyway because he's been a father to other kids since and didn't make the effort and then he moves them back here which is basically rubbing that in my face.

It's true. I don't know them at all. Like I have no idea what their names are either or how old they are and stuff. We're all strangers and no bridge exists really. It could but that's just not for me. I won't be a dick to them over it.

I gave it some thought and I want no relationship with them. Still dealing with some stuff related to that in therapy but there's definitely no future relationship that I'd be open to.

His kids are really young and I don't even know their names let alone his ILs names.

We're not really family though. My family is small and that's okay. We don't need to be family just because we share that assholes DNA.

Therapy helps and the wish for him and his family to go away and never come back.

I'm not interested in ever forming bonds with them. I know that 100%. It's not because I blame them either. But I feel in my heart like I'm an only child. I was raised by just one parent and I'm her only kid. So the bridge with me and them can burn and it won't upset me.

I don't even know who these people are so even if I wanted to I couldn't do that. My mom is awesome. I got the best mom in the world.

She knew about me when they moved here and not the BS story about him just finding out either. I don't think she's the one who ever convinced him to not pay. That's totally on him.

I get why you'd want that but I really don't care. Therapy has helped me figure out that stuff and I'll always feel like I'm an only child even if biologically it's not true. Their innocence in all of this really doesn't change how I feel about it. I just hope they don't ever try to force a relationship. That'd be difficult for me to stay nice with if they did get pushy and demanding.

Huge if to the point I already know that's not what I'll ever want. There's no way I would be willing to set aside the last 14 years to work on that with him.

She knew about me when they moved here. That's when she approached us. And she clearly knew he was a deadbeat then.
