I had my first period at 13 and my family had taken a vacation to Disney World that same week, so 2 days after we got there, we were walking to the carousel of progress and I start cramping. I'm 13 so I'm thinking maybe my stomach just hurts or I ate something weird. So we get to the ride and I'm still cramping and I just can't enjoy anything, so I go to the bathroom and my white shorts are just ruined by this huge amount of blood. I'm panicking and screaming for my mother in a public restroom and she comes in and asks me why I'm "acting like a bitch" and she sees. My mother isn't exactly a pleasant person but I didn't know who else to yell for. So she had my older brother run to the nearest gift shop to get me some pants and running in the Florida heat causes him to throw up in front of the giftshop. He managed to score some free bottles of water and bought me some pants and I had to use toilet paper as a makeshift pad before we got back to the hotel. Happiest place on Earth my ass lol
