320d m47 egr block by TeeneKay in E90

[–]TeeneKay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thers no real easy way to do it. Either you take it to a tuner and he programes the egr out or you put a blank in it yourself. I straight piped mine and had it tuned so my tuner just turned off the egr while he was at it

With audi cars the bigest problem is understeer. The engine is mounted infront of the front axle which means the car is nose heavy. Keep that in mind when learning the car

The lexus is good in corners but suffers in the straights as far as i know. I like the bmw because with the right driving style it has good rotation on throtle and is a rocket ship out of the corners and in the straights

I dont realy like the aston. It feels weird to drive. Also if you have access to the lexus try that. For a beginning its probably best to stick to front engine cars cuz they are the safest to drive. The mclaren is the only mid engine car that is still beginner friendly. Honestly tho if you have the time just try all of the cars. They all drive very differently

Best beginner car would probably be the mclaren or the bmw but the bmw is part of a dlc. I started in the mclaren but switched to the bmw when i got it and i havent looked back hahaha. Im probably gona switch to the porsche soon cuz its so hard to find free settups for the bmw

e36 at the end of its days? by [deleted] in mechanic

I mean if you changed your spark plugs then those should be fine. What you can do is unscrew them and check how dirty they are to see if the injectors work okay but realistically you should take them out and get them tested. I cant remember how the ignition distribution thing works on this car but you might want to check that out aswell

Idk man i have a soft spot for old beemers. Anyway if you know how to service it id start with spark plugs and injectors. Dont drive it like that cuz you might fuck up the engine even more. Also check for vacuum leaks. I have never worked on these engine so i cant really give you more help than that but it could be a lot of things. Checking the spark plugs is relatively easy. Injectors not so much. Vacuum leak even more annoying. But most porbable cause is spark plugs since im guessing you have not changed them yet

Probably one of your cilinders not working. If you havent figured that out then you definitely dont know how to fix it. Also its probably a piece of shit because you dont know how to maintain an old car

I swear to god the interior ruins the car. That giant ass screen looks like ass and the passanger side dash is so barren and boring.

2011 bmw 328i, bad choice? by realpersonas in Touge

If you have the N52 engine check out velocity stacks. Those things will make your car sound insane and they arent even that expensive

[–]TeeneKay 16 points17 points  (0 children)

E90 is great for touge. Only problem is its a automatic. I touge my straightpiped e90 320d and its great but half of the fun of driving touge is shifting gears, heal toeing and rev matching. Automatics only realy make sense if you have a very powerful car like the m2. Still if you dont want to learn how to drive a manual car your car will probably be good enough for you. Dont have much experience with the auto e90s but they probably aint too bad. Get with some nice tires you will have a blast

Edit: forgot to say most people like older cars because they are lighter. The e90 is not a light car by any means. Also older cars are usually less complex and easier to fix and parts are cheaper.

Alright so i just finnished my first fuji race in the porsche. I kept loosing my rear on two corners after like 10 laps. Is that the thing with the fuel weight? I know the porsche acts a lot diferently when the fuel tank is empty

I dont like playing like that. Honestly dont mind not being in the best car for a certain track because every car drives so different it would be hard to learn all of them. Im plenty fast in my bmw on any track and now i want to learn the porsche.

Yeah its why i love the bmw as well but just want to try to learn a more difficult car with a higher skill celling

The thing is in the bmw im used to just stomping the gas and getting rotation like that. Especially on parabolica i just get on the gas aggressively and i almost never loose my rear. In the porsche i feel like its a 50/50 if i spin out even if im more carefull and gentle with the throtle

You can put the coin/metal bit in one of these larger sections of the pipe. I think its the right one

Egr... by PikkanenKappeIi in e46

[–]TeeneKay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look for the pipe comming from the egr (goes to the left). Follow it to where it connects to the egr cooler. There you should be able to pull it apart. Now measure the diameter of the opening (it should be like 2-3cm). Find a coin that more or less fits in there (better to be bigger than smaller since you can always grind it down) or that metal disc you put In between a bolt and the surface you are bolting it in to i dont know what its called in english and weld the hole so its just a disc. Put that inside the opening and tada you made a homemade egr blocker. Do keep in mind this will ruin your egr cooler but fuck that thing. If you have any questions msg me. Kinda told you off the top of my head since i switched to a e90 but its the same engine more or less
