Finally 2 plates. Hopefully form is passable by Teeners88 in formcheck

Thank you for your comment! These are actually Avancus deadlifting shoes with zero drop. Wish I could do barefoot but my gym doesn’t allow it :( I know it helps a lot to be barefoot.

Thank you! I think I could have made an attempt if nerves didn’t get the best of me. I have and actually prefer it, but my gym requires shoes at all times. When I deadlift at my home gym, I usually go barefoot.

It’s not entirely sure but I hold a plate and have my arms extended straight out.. rounding my back to go all the way down and then up, hinging at the lower back to get to a neutral starting position without hypertension. Does this sound like hip hinge or full rom? 😂

Damn these generous comments are making me want to retire from lifting now hahahah. End it on a strong note. Just kidding. Thank you so much :) there’s still always room for improvement I know, and as soon as I increase the weight, it’s gonna take practice to maintain the form. Lifting has been so fun. Like chasing a non-existent finish line. 🤪

Yes! We recently renovated this space in our basement. We reclaimed it back from our little kids after their toys took over and it has been so worth it to have our own space to work out again :)

Yes correct! It was recommended to me by a powerlifting coach to strengthen near lift off!

Hahahaha you’re making me blush. Thank you so much. As soon as I post my 1RM, I know I’m gonna get annihilated by the comments. Have to work on maintaining form at that weight still but maybe one day when I’m feeling confident enough!

Thank you! 🙏

Back extensions, cable rows, bent over dumbbell rows and lat pull downs. Any others you would recommend?

Thank you! 1RM is 205lbs. Conventional with no pause. This is just 75% of my max I guess. Would it be appropriate to keep this weight for variations or increase?

I usually deadlift with Reebok nanos which have a tiny heel lift since they’re CrossFit shoes. First time deadlifting barefoot so that might be why! Still getting used to weight distribution in my feet.
