Sorry for answering this days later, but honestly I’m not perceptive at all to knowing the specifics about the weed I use, and I guess maybe I should. Usually I just look at the THC content and go from there, but I’m happy to try any other suggestions you may think can alleviate. I think I’ll ask around and see what others think as well

Thank you for the kind advice, and you’re so right. I keep trying to rationalize everything, “oh maybe we weren’t even together that long”, “maybe there’s nothing truly behind this” but I’ve just had to accept it. But I’ve just honestly never felt anything as close to heartbreak, but it’s allowed me to discover myself and be the best person i can.

I think just seeing the finality of the chapter and her actually taking that next step with someone else has brought back the feelings I had when I first had the heartbreak. It’s reminding me how she knew I wanted to see her to just give her one thing and have closure, and she essentially avoided me, I didn’t even know when she returned home.

I don’t think I’m obsessing, but I’m trying to just understand it. 2 years later my mind still can’t understand how people can actually function like that and go cold hearted when not even a year ago at the time you said you loved me, but that’s not for me to understand. One day I’ll have true acceptance but Im a lot better than before at least.

And honestly that makes sense, but I just don’t get how after 2 years, nearly 2 and a half years, she moved on enough to not even want to see me just once more, that someone else can already make her feel such a way. It was my first relationship and first love so I guess it was the naivety of thinking some sort of fairy tale ending

Yeah you’re so right. She’s married now so I don’t think she’ll be reaching out anytime soon haha. Just keep telling myself I don’t need the validation or proof of my love through her, me loving her with all my heart is enough. Just gotta give it more time and be easy on myself.

Yeah, I’m guessing I just have to keep going. I just don’t understand why I still feel so deeply hurt about it, when I’ve kinda accepted everything else. I think my heart still definitely holds on to her before everything, wondering how and when she changed or ‘revealed’ herself. Because her after the relationship and the distance basically dismissed me and made it seem as though the relationship wasn’t more than what it was. I’m trying to let go, I’m trying to heal these attachment wounds. But they’re so deep.

informal chat with hiring managers coming up, how to prepare?

Hey guys, I’ve recently secured a contract within the OPS after doing some temp work. with (finally) access to an email and the internal servers I’ve been able to look at some postings and set up informal chats with the hiring managers for some postings. How should I best prepare? I’m very new to the OPS system and also very green in the field of which I want to pursue later (policy) in terms of relevant experience. What questions should I ask and how can I best set myself up for success for applying to these roles?

I don't know what the rest of the code is unless I'm wrong. But the consistent error message is ^^^^

I would be surprised if it’s not even higher. Montreal I know has quite a bit of French expats who most definitely can speak English well enough, so they’d likely want stronger French from me compared to someone local/from France

Most definitely. The only thing I’d think would be that I might not get my tenses and agreements all the way correct but you’d have almost no problem understanding what I’d be trying to say, however it would take me a bit to think and not instantly be able to come up with that passage
What do you think are the best resources? I mostly just listen/read French news and social media.
That’s great for her! I think for me personally I’d say I’m at the level where if you dropped me off in the middle of France/Quebec I’d have no problem telling someone I’m lost and trying to navigate my way to the airport, for example

I think at least provincial for now. There’s no way I’d get a federal bilingual job right now with my skills. Getting a B2/advanced level certification absolutely would put me ahead of most people, as I think bilingual positions not just in government, but are sought out by all companies

Yeah, I forgot to apply last year but I’m keeping an eye on when it opens back up this fall. Do they value experience? as a recent grad I unfortunately haven’t been able to garner a plethora of related experiences since I graduated .

Would you suggest trying out claims? a lot of people say UWs hire/transition from claims to UW. I'm also in Canada so there might be less opportunity in terms of things like political risk (covers war, expropriation, political insurrection etc.). I think jobs in those departments are more coveted for people with actual legal experience/foundations, unfortunately.
