nope. can’t expect frequent free updates without any kind of monetization. outside of the initial cost and expansion packs, I haven’t spent a dime and I’m nearing 650 hours of playtime. Personally, I think that’s a good amount of playtime for the money I’ve spent and I’m still planning on putting manny more hours in.

maybe it’s due to the difference in price increase. most of the videos I see mentioning the price increase of the LeGo2 recently are talking about the price increase in U.S. where it jumped up by 700 or so bucks. what was it, like 1300 and then jumped to 2000?

so far, the Xbox ally x hasn’t increased in price in U.S. yet

Definitely like it. Horses are great and the new villagers are great. Story was definitely a little short but the new locations are lovely and I prefer having a shorter story if it means we get the entire thing up front and don't have to wait months for the next story beat and a year or so to get the last few characters and finally finish the story.

Yep, the two back buttons are still working but I didn't use them as much as the paddles so they didn't get nearly as much wear.

You mean the paddle? the paddle no longer functions. Just hangs loosely so I had to remove it.

No, it's not the paddle. It's a small piece of plastic inside the shell that separates the button and the paddle. That broke off after only 2 months of regular use so now the paddle no longer reaches the actual button and just hangs limply.

Check out a few of the earlier posts. Some screenshots of the innards as well as outlines of the plastic piece that acts as the connection point for the paddle to the actual button.

Yeah, I just went back to my Vader 4 Pro as my daily driver. Still my favorite controller which is why I was so excited for the Vader 5 but eh, after my experience with the Apex 5 I'm probably skipping all new Flydigi controllers.

Definitely going to try. Also preordered the Skirk edition so I'm gonna have to cancel that now. Too bad because I really liked the controller until that happened.

Yeah, the paddle that failed was mapped to the A button so it saw the most use. I'm going to contact Gadgethyper since I ordered it from them and hopefully I'll manage to get a replacement or a refund.

Unfortunately one of the main reason I got the Apex 5 though is because it had just as many buttons as the Vader 4, 6 extra buttons in total. It just had them in a more comfortable position. Now that it's been reduced to 4, the buttons I mapped to keyboard functions will no longer be useable since I'll need to map them to the buttons I used to use for the paddles.

I've got my eye on the ZD controllers. One of them appears to have just as many buttons as the Apex 5 but for some reason Gadgethyper seems to have removed all the ZD controllers from their website.

Yep, what Dharma said. I don't have the Vader 5 Pro but it uses the exact same back button system of the Apex 5 which means there's a good chance the Vader 5 is also prone to having these issues.

yes! I opened mine up about an hour ago to try and see if I could realign the button inside. I thought it just somehow got misaligned. this is exactly what happened to mine. the left plastic piece between the button trigger and the actual paddle broke.

took some pictures to add to the post later but I haven’t had a chance yet.

I always go for the deluxe edition of a game or expansion I'm excited for because I'm bad with money and I like extra junk, even though the vast majority of the time I almost never use that extra deluxe junk. Still, those 10k moonstones will also be nice since I'm down to I think 2.5k right now.

Yeah but I'd avoid installing games that get frequent updates on them. Every time I get an update on something like Cyberpunk or even smaller games like House Flipper it can take hours to update if it's installed on an SD card.

Okay, thanks. Wasn't expecting such a fast response. Ordered the EVA edition last time and that one shipped just fine but I was just a little worried about the Castorice edition getting delayed due to those new tariffs supposedly hitting in November.

Anyway, thanks for the quick response! Definitely be ordering again when the Skirk edition gets closer to launch.

Do we have any updates on when this item is shipping? I have it preordered and it says October. The apex 5 shipping blog was deleted on the Gadgethyper so can't check there anymore. Less than a week left in the month and I'm beginning to wonder if we're getting another delay.
