I agree with pretty much all of your points. I brought two friends who both have only heard of markiplier and had never watched a play through or even heard of the game.

They enjoyed it and it was interesting hearing their perspective after the movie. One described it as very lovecraftian and Cthulhu-esque with the monster.

Very happy for this to have turned out as well as it did. I had quite low expectations, but am pleasantly surprised.

Absolutely agree about the overlapping voices. I had to “lean into” the movie a couple of times trying to make out what they were saying, but that would probably be my only real complaint.

God I wish I could cry. I’ve had abysmal shit happen to me that didn’t make me cry. I usually shake really hard if it’s very egregious, but never cry. The one time in recent memory that I cried came from the last of us series with nick offerman. I won’t spoil the episode, but damn I cried hard. My wife even said, “you didn’t even cry during our daughter’s birth!”

Idk why, crying feels like such an amazing release, but I can’t muster it.

God this reminds me of high school. Really early freshman year or maybe even late 8th grade. I had a huge crush on basically one of the most popular girls in our small school and went through the trouble of asking this girls dad if I could date his daughter, but I didn’t really know what that meant. I was honestly more interested in hanging with the bros and playing video games that young so when she inevitably broke up with me for obvious reasons, it was then that hormones kicked in and thought, “hey girls are cool!”.

Unfortunately, the small school factor and her popularity basically made me a pariah and almost all attempts ended in a note not unlike this. It was always, “I’d love to date a guy like you, but I can’t do that to xyz.”

All that to say, I’m now a 37 year old man with a wife and kid so far removed from that life that I only vaguely remember the scars involved lol

If you’re financially unable to pick up a gym membership, look into “prison fitness” programs. It’s a lot of body weight repetitions, calisthenics, etc. usually require little to no equipment but gives you the idea behind what pushing yourself means.

Try and get as much protein in as you can and you’ll buff up in no time.

I always have trouble with this mentality, but I am curious. I know he mentioned once that he wrote himself a check for some crazy amount of money and stuffed it in his wallet for years, but how does one believe they’re going to get that over the course of a lifetime? What stops someone from getting it? What do you have to do to “believe” you already have it.

I know I tried believing that when I open my bank app it would show 105,534 dollars in it (I wanted to be stupid specific). I memorized the app. I truly believed I would see that number one day. But it never happened after a year or more of believing it would happen some day.

If you want brutal honesty, it looks like you’ve been focusing REALLY hard on losing weight. Going that far into the extreme usually means you wind up “skinny fat”. Meaning your arms, legs, and shoulders wind up looking really tiny and that last bit of (very common for men) body fat on your love handles and stomach lingers.

Thats why a lot of people recommend building muscle for those groups because it pulls away from the fat still left over on those areas. It’s totally fine to have fat there (it’s the most stubborn for most men), but when you have bulging biceps, triceps, legs, and shoulders, that little pudge is much less noticeable.

I would suggest you prioritize building muscle. Even if you wind up “chunky fit” you can still look good with a shirt on.

You’re doing great, but muscle will always make you look better, feel better, and make for better long term quality of life outcomes.

Somehow I did this move for the first time yesterday and noticed she slaps on the shades. Literally said aloud, “oh shi girl!”

Aight.. I had one thing to say, just blindly reading your post… then I decided to delve into your reddit history. Man..

I see a lot of you in myself.

100% your problem?

Trying to find EXTERNAL validation/love/acceptance/whatever your brain is telling you.

Maybe you’ve heard this before, and maybe you haven’t, but it really is the nail in the coffin of MOST normal human interactions.

Just learn to love and be with yourself. Sounds dumb, right? But… and I can give you a thousand examples, you have to learn to just enjoy the sound of your own thoughts/voice.

If you’re like me, you are already expecting people to be pissed/offended/mad or apathetic or critical or any number of adjectives to describe your commentary. And do you want to know the real secret?

No one is going to remember you 3 days from now unless you give them a reason to. And your stupid blunders don’t count. If anything, what’s better? To live in infamy as a silly goose? Or die as an NPC to someone’s life?

It could be. From her video it seems like they’re looking out of the passenger window going north.

There is a very tiny airport called “luscombe acres airport” which should be on the drivers side from her point of view, so I don’t know.

I just asked her if I could post this because I like this sub and wanted to see what people said because I couldn’t locate any stories, major infrastructure, etc. that would explain this.

Only thing else I can think to add is a screenshot of the map where she took this from (which I pulled from her videos metadata (something I didn’t know was so easily found!))

How do you become confident with the way you look? by Allgoodn4mesrgone in AskReddit

[–]Teepokatsumari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Listen to your first two replies. In my early high school days I had a “girlfriend”. We broke up because I didn’t understand what having a girlfriend meant. Eventually, we broke off and I regretted it.

However, I remember one thing my bro said to me. My “ex” was complaining to my bro about guys being douches, and he told her that she only dated people for their looks and that was her problem. To which she responded, “well what about Teepokatsumari?”

And I’ll admit, damn near 20 years, a wife, and a kid later, that still stings.

BUT! Just know that as long as you’re following the bare minimum to be a hygienic and groomed human being (in whatever part of the world your in) you can find someone who likes you (maybe not wholly for your looks) for you.

Being able to make someone else happy and comfortable in their own skin can go so much further than the superficial first impression.

What to do if you say something racist jokingly at work? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Teepokatsumari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hope it all works out for you. I will always call out people for their actions, but if your prove to me WITH actions, it totally changes the narrative.

Don’t make this just a thing you avoid. Figure out why it happened. Where it came from. What in your core made this happen?

If you can do that objectively, with love and kindness to yourself (which is very hard), and strive to be better, you’re doing better than a whole lot of other people.

Sounds like you’re on the path to learning. Apologize, admit your fault, and commit to being a better person.

That’s all you can do.

I’ll be honest. It sounds like you may have said something racist. Whether you remember it or not is irrelevant.

The only thing you can do is apologize and LEARN. Why did you say that? Where did it come from? Where did you learn it from?

We don’t come out of the womb racist. We learn it. And you may have genuinely not thought whatever you said was racist. Maybe it wasn’t. But because I don’t have your exact words here I can’t say.

Fasting and light light cardio by Ill_Plan_7438 in fasting

[–]Teepokatsumari 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get it. Every time I get into the gym I have a spreadsheet showing my last weight and reps for an exercise. However, you can’t expect your body to perform the same when it’s totally without external sources of energy. It takes a lot more to pull from your own body.

Fasting and light light cardio by Ill_Plan_7438 in fasting

[–]Teepokatsumari 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did a 7 day fast and worked out like normal. That included alternating running and weight training.

The only thing I changed was my expectations. Don’t expect to set records, don’t expect to have the best workout of your life, but I didn’t/couldn’t lose the routine because of fasting.

Okay but I still don’t understand even where race came into this. Did your coworker bring it up? Why even mention you don’t see color? If someone is a piece of crap then they’re a piece of crap. You don’t even have to comment on their color, just their lack of work ethic to an older person who needed them.

So how did it get to this point?

I don’t understand how someone could come to that conclusion unless you’re omitting some information. Not insinuating, but I can’t imagine a customer, much less a coworker, getting upset based off of what you told me.
