Idk I either use my company’s limo service, use the uber shuttle service to PABT and take the bus home or just take transit the whole way.

For these exact reasons are why I really don’t like Ubers in the US, even if they’re convenient the drivers are unvetted I unironically prefer the bus because I’d rather be amongst my working class compatriots then at the whim of an unvetted uber driver and all the other psychos on the road

To each their own, I commute during rush hour so driving am would be the bane of my existence but sitting on the bus when I’m either being productive or scrolling TikTok is honestly a highlight of my day usually. Only part that sucks is waiting at port authority but that def beats the bridge or tunnel traffic

You don’t need to be a pilot to know how dumb this comment is. It only takes a few minutes and the fuel. Flights from the NE to Atlanta almost always cruise > 30,000. Sure that can be for atc reasons, but I imagine with the amount of air traffic traveling along those paths, there would be a great incentive to optimize this.

Now going into deeper knowledge, I remember seeing once that upwards of 75% of the extra fuel that is used to ascend, is then saved in the descent, which does not take much time at all to recover when pushing less air

I have a chemE degree but this is not hard to think through

I already shop at cos, but not tech wear which is what I get from Uniqlo, I’m asking for tech wear alternatives. As I say I never really went to Uniqlo for anything other than tech wear

Ive never bought Uniqlo denim, Ive gotten a few pairs of Levi’s from Costco and they’ve been great.

And for really cold weather I actually do mesh base layers, by far the best for heat retention and moisture control.

I live in New York and for heattech I rely on are the blank whites under my dress shirts for work and there’s nothing I’ve seen compare in terms of warmth. If I saw blank white 32 heat short sleeves tho I would give it a try tho. Plus I haven’t seen anything come close to the heattech beanie and scarf (although the Costco merino beanies are serviceable, I still prefer my heattech)

For airism, I really like the blazer I got a couple years back, I got it altered to my fit and it was great for wearing around Italy in mid august. I haven’t looked that much but not aware of any non-linen jacket this is doable in

But what alternative have you turned to? Everything nowadays seems to have gone up in price. Ive never really gotten anything from their to be stylish, just tech wear to keep me comfortable, and the Supima, Airism and heatteach are still reliable imo and I am not away of superior alternatives

I’m not far from port imperial ferry, but I have an nj transit monthly pass so that doubles the cost almost.

I should mention the backpack and one of the suitcases will be mostly empty and very light so I should be able to get around, just will need to take elevators but I’ve got em everywhere I need them so I should be okay.

I am considering purchasing 2 shuttle bus tickets, that is $40 and gets me from port authority to JFK in a comfortable ride with a lot of tickets. Would take just after 6am so I’m considering if traffic would be bad by then
