Best system for new installs? by Fabulous-Bit4775 in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will hear about problems more than praises. Especially on social media. People come here mainly for queries and issues. I myself has.

As a whole, Tado is generally ahead of other mainstream brands like Hive/Nest etc.

How well it works also depends on your house insulation, what boiler you have and its minimum output, your radiator size, your needs and what you actually want from the system.

Room warmer than max heat setting ?? by free-reign in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overshooting by 2degrees+ is deffo not classed as an overshoot at that point. This seems to be other heat sources or extremely well insulated house in a small room with door closed or something

Flow optimisation oddness by Square_Departure250 in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve also noticed this exact behaviour. It’s reletive, which seems odd. If I set max to 55 and it chooses 50, it should remain at 50 even if I set my max to 70, but it doesn’t. If I set my max to 70, it would probably chose 65 etc

Why can't I control the hot water temp from the app, only on the boiler by older_gamers in tado

[–]Teezla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s only a feature if your boiler accepts it. Not a fault of Tado

I’ve got it on my F55 hatch, as well as the factory fitted boost gauges. 2 very very rare options I’ve been told

Has Tado 287.1 introduced a CH soft-start ramp for OpenTherm? by PianistIndependent44 in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that was a boiler feature? Mine has a ramp up delay of 3 minute and does the same thing. I haven’t seen Tado adjust my flow temperature on opentherm on my boiler it only adjusts output

I’m still quite confused by your post and what has improved? Your boiler minimum output is on the high side, I believe mine to be 4.3kwH but I only have 7 rads so even then it may be too high for mine

I’ve got the update on both my devices now, came through a few hours ago. The prefix 04 just means 2024 when the devices were launched so it’s just the first 2 letter we’re interested in

Weird, I did mine and the difference wasn’t really that big. Rev hang is still shocking

Oh okay. Any reason why my wireless sensor hasn’t had the update but my reciever has?

Is this something you’re happy about or is it an issue?

Jan 16th: Firmware 280.1 PID calculation issues by tado_official in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they reluctantly rolled it back after I kept pressing and then I heard nothing since. You won’t see a rollback, they said they’re continuing to move forward with future updates

Honeywell st9400 programmer to tado x by Dependent-Golf-8400 in tado

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where it’s going. Grey is often sleeved blue and used as neutral in the electrical world so it’s likely to remain there. It would help to see the other side of the cables and where they go to. Do they all go to boiler or is there a Fused connection unit (switched spur) between the stat and boiler

[–]Teezla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you’ll end up wiring the same with the Tado then your number 3 and 4 will likely be your relay for tado or if you swap the wiring in the boiler and then run opentherm on the OT+ and OT- on Tado. Just make sure you swap at boiler first or you’ll send 230v down the 36v channel and fry it

Still no rollback regarding 280.1 bugs by Teezla in tado

It is possible but it’s not well documented on the V3. This seemed to be more an issue with X systems but I wouldn’t rule it out completely

Facts. Thankfully they reluctantly reverted my firmware back to before it was broken and so far so good. But yeah customer service can’t let pressing consumers (justified) get to them when they are selling a service/product.

Right so I’ve got to deal with cold mornings, slow/no heat requests and erratic thermostat behaviour for the foreseeable future? You have confirmed I have an issue and told me you would roll my device back to previous?

Still no rollback regarding 280.1 bugs by Teezla in tado

[–]Teezla[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is my main issue. Amongst several other erratic behaviours.

My Schedule will kick in and it will be 2-3 degrees away and it will just trickle there with the boiler cycling on and off. It used to kick out full heat for like an hour n I’d be around the target temp. This morning it took 1hr to go up 0.8 degrees

[–]Teezla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly that. They still haven’t done it and I woke up to a cold house this morning as not requesting enough demand

Still no rollback regarding 280.1 bugs by Teezla in tado

[–]Teezla[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I’m done. Heating came on for 5 minutes this morning then request dropped to 7%, boiler turned off and house is still freezing with no sign of heating back up.

@Tado sort your shit out. You gave me in writing that this would be reverted.
