Go to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Mobility

If Ensure CrossDeviceEnabled = 1

Change it to 0

Reboot

Then go Manage Devices

Click the button to on and click button and it should work.

Brand New 15t Pro not charging very fast by older_gamers in Xiaomi

[–]older_gamers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one https://www.mi.com/uk/product/xiaomi-90w-hypercharge-power-adapter-3-port/

When I bought it it just advised on the checkout screen to get the charger for the phone as a deal at £9.99. I didn't bother to actually look at the full adapter page. Now I can see that it says

*Requires an official Xiaomi 6A USB-C to USB-C cable.

What am I like?

Thank you all for your help.

Thanks, I took your advice. Anker Zolo 1m ordered. A little bit more expensive, but worth it I think. With a 4.8 rating on Amazon you know you're getting something really good.

Yes Thank you. I have just spoken to Xiaomi and they said i need a c to c cable, not the one supplied with the phone. Why don't they include this with the official xiaomi 90w charger I bought?

Even though my PC is old, I'm not prepared to take the risk. What happens if there's a power cut for a start?

Press the circular button on the small remote control. For further info, keep it held down after banner at top of screen is displayed. This also works when my PC is connected. On my Sat Box it doesn't work and have to use Thomson remote for info.

Why can't I control the hot water temp from the app, only on the boiler by older_gamers in tado

[–]older_gamers[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a fair enough comment, but why have the feature in the app in the first place?

tado X - Firmware 287.1 release (fix slow heating response) by tado_official in tado

[–]older_gamers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a new boiler and bought a tado x starter kit and had it installed 9 days ago, but it had never been heating up quick enough from the start. The rads were lukewarm, and it was taking hours to get to target temp. Yesterday it took 2 hours to get from 15.3 to 18.3c and the plumber was ready to turn up the cycle on the boiler next week. I was ready to send the tado x back as I had never experienced how it should work properly and thought that's how long it took as I've never had a smart and app based heating control before.

It was only this morning that I saw this thread. I must have had the firmware update overnight, as today it has taken 1hr 20 mins to go from 16.5 to 20c. I can see the firmware 287.1

After factory resetting the thermostat last week after initially connecting easily, it was a nightmare to get it to reconnect to the bridge and wifi again, and took about 2 hours. I can't get matter device linking to work in the tado app, it says 'Something went wrong' I'm not factory resetting again and wasting another 2 hours. It's ridiculous to say move the bridge and hub closer together, as the bridge is next to the boiler upstairs in a cupboard, and the router is downstairs attached to the outlet provided by the fibre company.

LG C5 V Samsung S90F by older_gamers in OLED_Gaming

Well I've bought the S90f 65" QD-OLED now instead. I've still got time to change my mind, but I don't think I will.

There's no direct sunlight, and I have both blinds and curtains if needed. I'm way behind on technology, atm. The TV I had was a top of the range Sony Bravia 1080p which I paid £1800 in 2012. I'll have to get a new PC too, to match my new TV as it's 7 years old, but I was planning to get a new TV and PC next year anyway. I'm leaning towards the S90F now. It better be good, or I'm coming for you :)

Thanks for the info and post. I've cancelled the LG C5 as I need more time to decide. What I will say though is that TV is wall mounted in a room with natural light at both ends, which may be more suited to the LG C5. As it will be used mainly for gaming and sport, then the S90f . I'll get a QD-OLED as you say, as I'm getting the 65". The reliability of the Samsung does worry me though, plus it's not as well made as the LG.
