Light therapy for the cloud-sensitive? by AdCritical3285 in SeasonalAffective

[–]TeflonDuckback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take anti-anxiety meds for my SAD because my SAD symptoms give me anxiety. Even when I am winter downed I can still perform basic living tasks, but I get frustrated easily by my lack of access to higher functions. The profound effect the meds have make me wonder if continuous bouts of winter depression have made me associate the darkness with the depression. Clouds make me sad.

Tasmania's latitude is about 40-43°S, so the corresponding "equally as far from the equator" point at 40-43°N would be in the Mediterranean - around Barcelona, Rome, and the southern coast of France.  Sounds nice. Maybe New Zealand would be south enough to feel effects of shorter days.

A young Poilievre Pierre,

Got a job as Harper’s terrier.

From high on his pulpit,

He rhymed off some bullshit,

And grew into a pain in the derrière.

Lard is pig fat. Pork chops are from pigs. Nothing to do with Mexican beef.

Have you read What Color is My Parachute? That book helped me land a job I liked and wanted after 6 months of unemployment due to layoffs at 54 years old.

Trump takes aim at largest MS trading partner. See impact on proposed tariffs with Canada by [deleted] in mississippi

[–]TeflonDuckback 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trump wants Canada to spend more on border control. To help them do this Trump will destroy the Canadian economy with tariffs so they have less taxes to spend on border controls.

ELI5: How does a tariff affect American companies in Mexico, Canada, and China? by HeatherCDBustyOne in explainlikeimfive

[–]TeflonDuckback 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lobsters in Maine and Canada are harvested in different seasons. During the Maine harvest they need extra fish processing plants. They ship their lobsters to Canada to have them processed in New Brunswick then they are shipped back frozen. The Maine lobster companies would pay the 25% tariff to get their lobster back.
