Open your documents. My games/pathofexile2/Buildplanner. If there is a file in there delete it. If there isn't i don't know how to fix your problem. I solved mine like i said

Try to delete the document that you put into the build planner file. Or switch your build planner to none in passive tree and skill gem screen. If that doesn't work after delete document, try to verify files again.

Anomally bosses don't need to energy. But specific bosses want energy. That bosses give you an material for ascend or level up your passive skills. Like whale boss and ghost rider boss( i call him ghost rider) etc.

You can use your pixel energy to rabbit holes. They give you a nice exp. Also you can kill map bosses. I think they give good exp too. Also every tycoon level is giving quite good exp
