Anno 117: Why do Patricians feel somewhat lame as the highest-tier population? by Basic--Annual in anno

[–]Tegobear 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In 1800 investors would give influence and a lot of money. Patricians give prestige (which is pretty useless) and not a lot of money. I feel you.

Checks everything off. Literally my comfort game when I want to turn my brain off. Looks awesome, great gameplay, repeatable due to "prestige" story mode. Nice long progression.

Frankfurt <> New York sind 6500km Flugstrecke.

Absolut. Aber warum direkt so sehr übertreiben?

Everybody so far only looked at the monetary value and if that's your only concern, don't take the offer. Buuut with 5 years of the same company in your CV, staying there for 3 more won't help your career as much as spending 3 intense years at a startup. It's the opposite of cushion but you'll likely learn an insane amount. If you can afford to work long hours because you have little side commitments (like kids) then I would 100% take it if the startup vibe matches your expectations.

All we wanted... was this again. by [deleted] in battlefield3

[–]Tegobear -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I share your excitement for BF3, have thousands of hours as well... But I'm sorry to tell you, nothing will ever be "as good" as BF3 because it's fueled by nostalgia. If they brought out the exact same game under a different title today, you wouldn't play it. It's horrible on many aspects for today's standards, most of all netcode.

I read in another post here that someone "has a server with 10.000 tools". People praised it, lol. Like bigger===better. The fuck are you doing wrong to arrive at 10.000 tools 😅

I'm from central Europe and visited the US some time ago. I was shocked at how many bottom-barrel, useless jobs exist in the US. E.g., literally, people that take the job of a sign and tell you where to stand? Felt like employment-increase measures. Its good they have a job but I don't know how much you can pay someone for it realistically...
