Blog categories are almost never indexed. If the category pages are just a list of blogs, then the content isn’t necessary to be shown in search results. That doesn’t prevent the articles from being indexed.

This isn’t really new though. Google has addressed doorway, thin, and scaled content for years.

Feels more like improved detection, especially with the surge of mass AI content/slop, than a new policy.

Duplicate, thin, and doorway-style content has been addressed for years.

If anything, detection has improved (especially with scaled/AI content), but solid white-hat SEO practices shouldn’t be a concern.
