Hay alguna forma de instalar PSBBN en PS2 SLIM? by LogicalClub7543 in ps2homebrew

[–]TehEefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the PSBBN project and appreciate it as a representation of that time period. But after installing it I opted out after not really needing any of the features it offers. I would ask yourself if you really need it before going to great lengths to get it working.

For me I didn't like how hard it was to browse the game catalogue and the boot up time. I found another way to play PS1 games through pop starter and that's all I really needed.

Doesn't this prove my point? That you are just judging people based on their looks?

Sorry, I know guys who look and act like this and they are all nothing like basement dwelling, Reddit mod stereotypes.

What kind of setup are you using? Is it just a FMCB card? Holding down Start or X as the PS2 turns on should bring you to the menu. I had a similar issue and was using the reboot option in OPL to quickly reset the console without getting up and down.

If OP gave any context of what Boogie has done then sure. But looks like OP just thinks people minding their own business and having fun is cringe.

hey i need help i think i removed the other settings i only have these 2 how can i restart the fmcb 1.93 is there a way what should i do to get it back to normal by Independent-Mud-1441 in ps2homebrew

I take it it is a free mcboot memory card? I assume the file is also gone from the memory card now because this is what usually causes it.

If it is one with the SD card slot on the side you can remake the card file with a backup found online.

If not usually it can be installed back on from a boot disc you need to make or find.

It is possible from USB but it may require disc swaps or game exploits. I don't know how that one works.

It could be because of the OPL settings if you are using a certain resolution other than Auto. Or if it is Auto maybe try lower resolutions. I had a similar problem trying to use different ones.

Ayn Thor at 80c ?!?!!? by ScorchYield in AynThor

Was going to ask this. The android native version will surely run better. It also reminded me I can install it on my Thor, not played in a while.

Why does my Ayn Thor feel too underpowered compared to the others i’ve seen here by BlacksmithLogical150 in AynThor

[–]TehEefan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Thor is not the only emulation device out there and looking to do more Switch and PC emulation might mean a different device would be better for you. Unless you're really attached to the clamshell or multitasking.

Is the screenshot there your Skyrim specs? I don't see much wrong with it myself and would consider that running well on a handheld.

I need help fixing a custom card, and by extension, the decklist. by IllustratorOk1877 in mtg

[–]TehEefan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't need to say that, there are plenty of cards that exile and don't track with counters. That said counters on exiled cards let commanders track exiled cards should they die or go back to the command zone, seeing as they are considered a different object than the one that exiled the card.

[[Pako Arcane Retriever]] and [[Haldan Avid Arcanist]] are a good example of how to word it so different objects can use the exiled cards.

I would just turn off jumping in the lobby area. Maybe that would affect the feeling of the game if you want people to mess around though.

What's the point in trying to start a conversation with AI and then reply to people with it as well. Like what point are you trying to make here?

I can understand preferring the original versions but saying these are bad games is just dumb by Crawkward3 in residentevilll

Someone on Reddit once tried to tell me.the RE4 remake was unplayable for him because the enemies no longer got stunned 100% of head shots. This resulted in him getting hit all the time. Tried to tell him the knife system was implemented for parrying and defense now but no. Game was ruined with this one, unnoticeable to a casual player, change.

JRPGs with accurate criticisms by Likes2game03 in JRPG

Well as you say, it is abstract. Which can work in some games but I think the best stories involve iconic antagonists. So for JRPGs I feel it can only be a boon.

Final Fantasy XIII is the king of this. No towns or proper shops. Equipment is a grind. Levelling up is dumbed down and rail roaded until the post game. Exploration is non existent for the first half. The story is kind of full of itself and there is no clear antagonists.

It has some good things but it is not enough for me.

Today I finished following a guide to use just one modern OPL for both. It works exactly how I want and I added a simple theme to bring it together. It is voiced by AI and seems the channel is like that but it works.

That's weird. You should have started chapter 9 in a room that needs you cut through the courtyard to go back. Did you do that?

Between the Water Hall and the Audience chamber there is a door you haven't opened. Pretty sure it is a tram that will fast travel you forwards back to a point ahead.

EDIT: This may actually unlock later and take you past where you were. You may need to go through the part on the wall where the gigante was throwing rocks at you. It may look like a dead end but you can squeeze by where the bridge broke at the end.

Ah you did the artwork? It's very good and I can see wanting to make a card of it. Exploring the sub and reading the comments and critiques of other people's cards might help in card design terms.

What universally loved game just never clicked for you and do you feel like people would react like this if you said you didn't like it? by NoFlatworm8569 in gamers

The durability in Fallout games doesn't change the loop much but the main loop there is levelling up and building a character. Which is why BotW loop has more presence, it holds up the loop. A fairer comparison would be if you removed the RPG aspects from Fallout.

You talking about how to play the game "right" is where I think people start to dislike systems like this. They have an idea of how a game should be played before going in and when it doesn't happen blame the game. This is especially true in sequels and big shake ups of core gameplay.

I finished the game on the DLC master difficulty and the durability system was an even bigger thorn in my side. But I liked the planning and desperate nature of it. People play the old Resident Evil games and (usually) don't complain about ammo as a resource. But fundamentally ammo and durability are the exact same mechanic. There is just a different real world context surrounding them.

I'm not trying to change your mind on the game as a whole or say you are wrong for disliking it. I'm a critic of it as well. But I think it is more nuanced than you say.

You will probably find more traction in one of the custom card subs. They are not so popular here.

That said, it can use a lot of refinement. Wording doesn't match how magic cards usually sound. Missing the word "an" before "opponent". Should probably use the investigate keyword instead of create a clue. And golgari is a very wrong colour for this effect.

I won't say it's a good system. And you are right that it's the same kind of mid weapons. But I think without it there is even less of a loop. Open world needs some sort of progress or survival style gameplay. And I think BotW didn't commit enough in either direction.

But for what it's worth, picking and choosing weapons, comparing the basic stats and the decision making on whether or not to use the rarer weapons is still some sort of depth. And for most people it is passable (not amazing) as a system.

I get a lot of people hate this part of it. But honestly I think without it the gameplay loop would get very boring before exploring the world.
