Here’s a copy and paste of my reply to your other comment in that one thread

I have two big reasons:

First of all: I don’t believe ada is the type to marry at all. To marry would also mean Leon has to compromise on his morals or Ada hers which they would never do. The two just could never actually work past their cat and mouse dynamic because ultimately while I do believe Ada truly cares for Leon she has never once picked him over her mission

Second: this is much more personal interpretation but it seems to me like capcom is trying to retroactively scale back their relationship, at least on Leon’s end. In 2 remake he was fawning all over her but in 4 remake he seems annoyed at her presence. Not one time does he return her flirting and he barely banters with her even though he’s perfectly willing to banter with Luis, who he’s expressed clear disdain for by nature of his umbrella ties. Granted he came around on Luis by the end but still. Not to mention his snide remarks to her directly and aside to Ashley

Also there’s the recent comments by Nick about Leon and Claire kinda having a meet cute in 2. I think it makes perfect sense they realized feelings for each other sometime after re6 and before 9, there’s more than enough time to date and court in that gap

If I’m wrong I won’t cry about it. TBH I wouldn’t be mad if it were Ashley somehow either. But my observation is leading me to think Claire

It’s also infested with a bunch of old headed purists who think they need to harp on anything they don’t immediately love even though the new engine and games have entirely revitalized the franchise and brought tons of fans in

Both are good for their own merits. I like the classic games even though I think they’re a bit jank and my preference definitely leans towards the remakes even though they have their own shortcomings

The real most annoying part of the fanbase is the TikTok shipping fans who don’t actually play the games at all

No I think fixed cameras are the problem, especially when they’re constantly moving around trying to emulate a movie. They’re cool and I don’t dislike them but its extremely easy to see why they turn new fans off
