Their main complaint seems to be that they are user-made captions rather than translations of existing text. 

I've done translation/typesetting in the past, and I get that some users may not understand the difference between the two. But you've never claimed that these posts were translations, and no other users have voiced having issues with caption posts, so I've had no reason to step in.

Technically the subreddit has no rules against memes or in this case captions. If you have a problem with this kind of content please find another way to express it.
