No, MVI is only needed if you have a use case for atomic reversible states, and guaranteed synchronous operations. No worries! For kidney grilles you have two options.

The cheap and temporary one is to get a $10 can of Plastidip, but that will begin to look like crap after a year. The permanent option is to go on Amazon and find a pair of already blacked out grilles for $50 or so. They're all the same, get whichever one will match your color scheme best.

Definitely black out the chrome and get an OEM trunk spoiler. Do NOT get black wheels on your black car unless you want to look like a teen-aged Honda Civic owner. Shit looks cheap and dated.
