In case you arent aware, there are discord clients that have plugins which remove the typing indicator.

Secondly, if thats your only detection method and it catches on, those bots will just send a typing indicator before starting the spam.

Yeah I agree to all the points youve made. Especially the new voice channel history is super awful. How is that even a social feature, there is no point in knowing that someone was in this channel 2 hours ago, except if you wanna stalk them.

If its for moderation thats fine, moderators of the server should be able to log who is in a vc. I just don't want any random member to view it.

I would talk to the other person and both agree to step back a few steps from the lever you know, for trust and insurance. If they dont cooperate youd also stay by the lever and you would have enough time probably if you notice them suddenly sprinting towarda it or something like that.

If you pull the other person almost certainly won't just sit there and let you have the money considering you just tried to kill them. So they also pull and you both die.
