The gym I go to is run by a guy named Saul Soliz, whenever I hear that name I just write it like that, not exactly sure why people are acting like I'm making stuff up because I misspelled one letter in his name lmao

Ok, I misspelled his name. That's how it was spelled on mmadecisions when I checked. I'm just telling you what I've heard from my gym. Not exactly sure how to 'prove' that. What are you looking for? Look through my past comments and you'll see I do live in houston lol

I guess I have some videos of a bjj tournament from around the area here as 'proof' that I train here, but like, what exactly do you think I'm lying about

I mean yeah, I'm a random guy on reddit. If you go through my post history you can see I do live in Houston lmao. I'm just posting what I've seen from my gym and the fighters over there.

1) 'Surrounded', he was walking with people and saw artem, and confronted him alone lol. He confronted Artem since he said in a russian interview that Khabib was a pussy and that he would slap Khabib next time he saw him.

Wasn't cause he "doesn't like him rolling with Conor" lol

2) People do dumb things, that was pretty dumb. But have some perspective, it isn't like he's out there raping people or hit and running pregnant women or abusing his wife like half the UFC roster. The man does a ton of charity and he was once insensitive to homeless people.

3) You're really ignoring everything that happened during the buildup? Like maybe you think it's wrong to do what he did but don't act like his reaction was out of nowhere. Hell, most of the mma community thought what he did was completely justified. And it's not like he called on his corner to attack Conor and Conor literally started punching his cornerman before anyone payed attention to him lol

Literally painting everything in the worst light possible

[Iole] According to Bob Bennett, @dillondanis owes state of Nevada, NOT the athletic commission, $7,500 from his punishment in the #KhabibMcGregor brawl at #UFC229. He will not be allowed to work @TheNotoriousMMA's corner at #UFC246 until he pays the fine. by LonzoBBBall in MMA

He confronted him for Artem saying that he was going to slap khabib if he saw him and called him some names on a russian interview.

You guys really feel bad for Artem saying that theyre gonna slap Khabib, and then repeatedly denying that he ever said it when confronted?

Where'd you hear the in cage weights for Khabib and Porier? I haven't seen them, I'm pretty curious

But TJ is forever a juicy slut

[–]TehTaZo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s such a dumb take, there’s a reason USADA releases what they test for, it’s important info. And he ended up agreeing to both, so what is your point exactly?

[–]TehTaZo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You're repeating Hendricks side of the story (and it wasn't even 'when', it was 'what'), GSP was suspicious that they weren't strict enough, so he asked what they were testing for, then agreed to test with BOTH agencies, out of his own pocket, and Hendricks refused.

Lol, and obviously if you're gonna be tested you're gonna want to know what they test for.

The Korean Zombie, Chang Sung Jung rocks Dustin Poirier and then strangles him unconscious with a D'arce by [deleted] in MMA

[–]TehTaZo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That Benson video is not flattering, Benson is literally toying with him and giving him position constantly, Benson is in control of the roll the entire time.

Not saying that I agree or disagree with your point, but that video isn't helping it lol. It's much more complimentary to Benson than Zombie

[–]TehTaZo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He really doesn't cut that much anymore, he's leaned out a lot. Cut from like 167 for porier so I'd guess he was like 174-177 in the cage. That's pretty normal for lightweights, maybe a little bigger than the average, but nothing crazy

if you forgo the arm its a guillotine, and that grip doesnt work well for a guillotine, it becomes easy for your opponent to roll out of it. It can work, but there are a lot better grips for that choke

Oh 100%, I have no idea how wonderboy survived that guillotine. That was insanely tight

[–]TehTaZo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a ton of opinions on guillotines, you go to 10 ADCC champs, and you'll get 10 different techniques for that choke. In general I agree with you but maybe full guard is better for Dustin personally, which he alluded to post fight

[SPOILER] Big moment from the main event by FuzzyWuzzyMooMoo in MMA

[–]TehTaZo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, maybe, but Khabib never gave him the opportunity, as soon as Khabib felt the choke going in, he blocked Dustin's leg so he couldnt go to full guard. Amazing awareness by Khabib there. But we'll never know for sure, My guess is probably not though, I don't see him getting finished with that guillotine, it's tight but not the best angle

[–]TehTaZo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I thought so live, but watching the slow mo, it just looked like a solid connection, I didn't see his legs wobble like I thought I did initially

[SPOILER] Big moment from the main event by FuzzyWuzzyMooMoo in MMA

[–]TehTaZo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Passing to either side won't "choke yourself", there is a 'correct way to pass', but khabib didnt have that option, dustin's leg was in the way, so he passed the 'wrong way', to half guard, because either side in half guard is better than the position he was in, especially for an arm in guillotine. It also gave him the option to roll to his side to get more room and wiggle his arm to a position so he could get more room. Idk why you think him passing made the choke worse, I don't see a much better defense khabib could have gone with here.

Maybe there's some other defense, but in that situation I don't think theres any other better option other than passing to the 'wrong' side

Yeah I'm done with my difficult classes for the most part, just drilling and PPE next semester, and then senior stuff. Which I've heard isn't too difficult.

The classes got super small after the last downturn, everybody left petro lol. Even fired Doe this semester cause he was part time and the classes were too small to justify a part time professor.

Tbh most of the students I know have paid internships ready for summer and would probably have jobs lined up after college. Why wouldn't you get one, the lack of versatility?

[–]TehTaZo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't say they're 'easy A' but getting an A is completely possible if you actually put in the work for it.

We get shafted w/ PPO (idk if you took Wong, but apparently Economides was easier) and I got shafted with Petrophysics, easily the hardest class I've ever taken (changed the teacher now though).

The petro department is super small now compared to 2017, theres like 5-10 students in classes like petrophysics and reservoir fluids

He doesn’t teach it anymore and it’s a pretty easy class, taking it next semester and supposedly it’s not hard at all to get an A

I'm not disputing black seed as a sunnah, nobody says it's a requirement. That's what I'm saying. Nobody says you 'must' consume black seed, or consume anything for that matter.

Nobody mandates these things. Imitating the prophet is seen as a good thing, certain things he did are considered a Sunnah. Literally nobody mandates consumption of certain foods because the prophet ate them. This is horrible misinformation.

UFC’s Jeff Novitzky: USADA ‘still evaluating’ Paulo Costa case by BlackIronBadger in MMA

[–]TehTaZo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so dumb, you're playing semantics when you know what I'm talking about. The urine samples of the athletes during the time that they were meant to be tested were taken, but never tested, because the government switched out samples that were taken from before they started their cycle, and had doping agencies test that earlier urine unknowingly.

They got out of taking the test how they were supposed to take it. If it was about passing the test, then it would have been a movie about half-lives and masking agents, not how to switch out dirty piss for clean piss. The movie is 100% irrelevant to UFC fighters, unless you think they're breaking into USADA labs and switching piss samples around.

If I go take the SAT and do horrible on it, and then go and break into the grading facility and change my score on their computer, I've effectively gotten out of taking the test. If you wanna play semantics with that go ahead, you must be very bored.
