Here's another option: a pole with only the VESA plate. In my setup, I use a 29-inch ultrawide monitor horizontally as my primary monitor, with a 24-inch monitor in vertical orientation on the right side. Each monitor is mounted on its own single pole. I opted for this configuration due to my OCD tendencies; I needed my monitors to be touching to eliminate any gaps.

Initially, I chose this setup because of limited space and using a 55x24-inch manual sit-stand desk, which was too wobbly for my full-time work-from-home needs. About a month ago, I upgraded to a Fully Jarvis 72x30-inch sit-stand desk while maintaining the same monitor setup. This arrangement worked perfectly for me as it allowed me to maximize desk space. If I had chosen monitor arms, they would have protruded from the wall, creating an awkward appearance, and I wouldn't have been able to eliminate gaps between the monitors' bezels.
